They took the ability to change colors in 2018. Its possible to enable it in forscan but you will need to buy all the lighting modules from a 17 for it to change colors as the new modules are not rgb.
I can change it in mine in Sync. What I can't change is the color of the light on the door when the door is open. That's a Forscan thing. Maybe certain lower trim levels don't have the RGB setup?
its possible to add it on the value package. I'm currently adding it to mine. My body harness came pre wired for it. the console and door harness are missing the conectors. I just need the time to add the missing conectors. Look under the driver and passanger seat for a lighting module if one is present you truck may be pre wired. Another place to look is behind the glove box to the right it there may be a small back conector with a cap inside of it.
These are the part numbers for the lighting modules. Some of these parts have been discontinued so some of you 19 guys may be out of luck.

These are the changes i made in forscan to enable it on my lariat value package.

I checked under passenger seat and found an LED. I made the 3 changes in Forscan you recommended and the ambient light option showed up on main display.
Didn't see light under drivers side. Where else should the LEDs be located? I would like to add the other since system is capable.
Thanks for tip jonathanjr1
2017 Lariat value package
Passanger side dash is a black conector behind the glove to the right. The rectangle hole to the conector is where the light mounts to.
Driver side dash ambient lighting conector is the grey one next to spot light and heated steering wheel module.
Driver side back of seat conector is the black one to the left of the rectangle hole.
Passanger side behind the seat connector with lighting module present.
Here are all the conectors i have present on my truck. The Cup holder conector and door conectors are missing from their sub harness. To add the door conectors you can modify your existing door harnesses by adding 3 wires or buying differnt door harnesses as long as the wires are on the truck side. For the cup holder i made a t harness that ties into the dash lighting module as they're on the same can bus. The door panels will need to be cut for the lights or replaced.

Did your cup holders have the part at the bottom that the light emits from?
Unfortunately, Ice Blue wasn't the best choice if you were only going to have one color available. I wonder what Ford's logic was behind removing the color options, aside from it being cheaper for them?
Additionally, the 2017 models had the door pockets automatically turn red if the door was open with the engine running...to act as a warning lamp.

Why not Ice Blue? I run Ice Blue on mine, because it's the closest match to all the gauges, switches and other non colour changing lights. As much as I loved the colour changing ambient light in my wife's Flex, (back when we still had it) in the F250, anything other than Ice Blue just seems out of place to me due to how it clashes.
Mine is a '19 Platinum with the Ultimate package and it doesn't have it. I'm not wanting to modify anything so I'll just be happy that they chose one of the best colors; in my opinion.
Since the 19s don't have anything in Sync for ambient equipped trucks , do we still need to make forescan changes? I'd love to just add the leds under dash and seats since I have the connectors...
I guess I’m missing something here in this thread,so does the 2019 Lariat with the ultimate package include ambient lighting or not ?
I have a 2019 Lariat Ultimate, Sport package, equipped SD on order and I can’t find any reference to the 2019 Lariat coming with the ambient lighting option whatsoever.

Our 2019 F350 Lariat Ultimate has the ambient lighting feature. However, it’s ice blue only.
