Saw some video of the waves hitting the beaches Chris. Looked pretty awesome. Wanted to get over and get some pics, but I didn't get out of the courthouse in time.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 39.9 and overcast. Still wet, but no rain at the moment.
Been working on a couple of things this morning.
Belated good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Got home a little while ago.
Looks like I'm going to need new brake pads (I Knew that) on the car, but it looks like I need rotors all the way around as well. Not enough left to turn. That puts a whole different view on things. In the neighborhood of $600 +/- in parts.
Also got my new eyeballs today. Progressive lens. Wow, these things are going to take some getting use to, if that's even possible!

If I don't start to acclimate to these glasses, they may be going back sooner rather than later John.
I checked at a place in town and they quoted me $600 to $650 minus a 10% military discount. I double checked that they used quality parts and they said they certainly did. Since that's about the same price as I can buy good quality parts for, and they flush the brake lines to boot, I will probably take the car to them. It doesn't make sense for me to get my hands dirty.
The Ford Stealership in town gave me a $600 quote. The Stealership in the next town over gives a Military discount, so I may check with them as well.
Just got a call from my daughter all upset that they won't be able to pay their bills with a government shutdown (US Navy). They are still getting more info coming in on it...Democrats don't want to talk to me at the moment...It may be a good thing that Merc-it-up and New York's Oregon Sen. Wyden are NOT coming to town this weekend.
He was supposed to have one in Newberg, I think, this weekend, but his airplane ticket got cancelled when he voted against the CR.
Something on the news about him Canx the town hall because he had to stay in Washington DC until he solved the current money crisis.
Nice to know he can care so much about the foreign nationals while he holds our US kids hostage and he prevents my granddaughter with the liver transplant the Chip money she needs for continuing treatment. Her meds are like $8500 per month.
