The older models are not cab forward like 2003 body style, have sawzall will travel.....

Gotcha, so its probably better to put a 6.0 in a 7.3 truck. Unless i make my own frame.

I would skip the F100 stuff and concentrate on the diff between the later model, already built for it platforms...

Easier to put a body style you prefer on a chassis set up for the powertrain...?

That'd be my route. Take all the modern running gear and put on what you want it to "look" like....

The other way is frame twistingly ugly...

Just my HO

Scott he would still have the computer issues.
My understanding was the guy was dropping the F100 body on a 60L frame.

Yup, but he didn't start that way...

Sooooo much easier to take a late body to a little bit later body, than what he did...

Not that I'm an expert here...

I followed that thread from the start when it was going on.. the f100 was his old truck.. he wanted to do something unique for the powerplant and was lucky to nabb the 6.0 frame and all.. he actually did grab frame and all and set the f100 body on the 6.0 frame but needed to shorten the frame due to the 6.0 was longer than his old truck. it wouldnt have been a task i would have taken on but it did come out looking pretty sweet when he finished.

theres the actual build thread

Well they have an 8mm nut so they should have a 6mm stud if the normal conventions
are fallowed. But you know Ford and some of the silly things they do.

They are 5mm, an odd size. Ford does sell the bolts, but they are a stock length.

A drill, and drill bits, the hole can be another size.
