I lost my father when I was 17. 47 years later I still miss him.
The last 7 years of my mothers life I took care of her, but by then her dementia was too far along to get answers to the questions I never knew I should have asked, to do the things I should have done with her but didn't think of.
At any age, use the finite time you have with them wisely. Same in the other direction of generations.

I don't mess with with geese.....or goats...I've seen some pretty badass geese and goats!!!!
they get the WTF!!! look on their faces for a few seconds and then go back to what they were doing.. ones here are use to people you can walk right through the flock and they dont care... sometimes theyre get curious and come up to see if youll feed them.
That cat reminds me of one of my own that passed away last year. She was part raggamuffin, Norwegian and who knows what else. She was super friendly, smart and beautiful.
We had a real hard cat at work in Germany, unfortunately also liked to hide under cars in summer. Amazingly, survived the first time someone reversed over his head - wired jaw, 3 months inside etc - but not the second a few years later. Used to go for my dog, dog was terrified of it!
