I can see how a cat that size might not be too interested in a small hamster snack especially if it was a very gentle cat. Molly is a very gentle dog even with my two out door cats as well, I would never have a dog that wasn`t.
I was a dog person ali my life till I came a cross a few really nice cats. My two outdoor ones sometimes follow me around the yard....till they see I don`t have any treats for them and then they loose interest fairly quick.
I like dogs but would never have one now, I always said once I retired I'd get one but then I'd be tired to the house or have to rely on someone to look after it anytime we went out of town and no way would I let a dog in any of my vehicles. Don't really want one in the house either..
My cats are like little humans, Frankie still walks me to the mailbox and Sally sneaks along and chases Frankie on the way back. Any neighbor I talk to on a regular basis becomes their buddy and the cats will visit them if they see them outside.
When I was growing up my parents always had a dog I wouldn`t ever be without at least one dog John. I`m tied to staying home but that doesn`t bother me since I`ve had my share of winter vacations, it was always nice to come home.
Same here Perry, my cats trot along with me even in in the snow and my shop cat Gracie is always happy to see me. Not quite exactly how I feel but some days it`s close.
