Today was the last of the really good weather days for a while, got 1 customer finished and have 2 more to finish and then I'm back on my time which could be as early as Wednesday, Tuesday is run around day so it doesn't count.
Look after the toe Steve, I know an idiot that lost his thumb because it became infected, he spent 2 weeks in the hospital due to the infection starting to enter his body. Debatable whether it was a good thing he didn't die, he was a carpet layer that used to change out the old carpets for the Hazelwood hotel and we kind of thought of him as a lump.
Got a $50 tip from my customer today, he saw me siding a shed and got me to take over the job on his shed as his guy was more concerned about getting advances and not showing up the next day.
I have lots of projects here to get back to work on, retiring just made me more work, should go and get a job so that I won't have as much to do.
Might be that way there tomorrow too. There are guys shingling the roof on the house next door to me. I was hoping the shack would get torn down but looks like I'll end up when another crapping neighbor once it's rented out again..I can imagine the shape of the shingles in the sub zero temperatures being stapled . Likely all cracked..
I know I wouldn't want to be up there but they have 3/4 of it done by night fall, they apparently are putting down new floors and drywall throughout the place and it's already advertised as ready to rent Dec 1 . They are basically putting lipstick on a pig...this place should have been bull dozed 10 years ago
