Some people just love flogging a dead horse until it actually falls over John. My last landlord renovated the place that I was in, I offered to do the work for $3500 but he decided to do it himself. Its been a year and he's still not finished, cost him $12,000 so far in lost rent.
Sounds like the last place I was at, in 8 years the only good people we had upstairs were a Syrian refugee family and they moved after 6 months cause he ran into to many aholes here.
I've got some metal working tools to make this winter and a metal lathe to buy plush my projects need to get finished so that I have something to show customers.
I painted up another set of headlight pots today, Saturday I'll take a picture of the 53 grille and post it..it won't get painted though until the spring. I don't want to rattle can it in case I actually get to use it on a future truck some day so will wait to get epoxy and high build primer on it..
Decided that if I'm going to be retired I may as well take a 40 year step backwards and get into metal working again. Our neighbor when we were kids was the local autowrecker and he had all the metal working equipment you'd need to build a car. It was going to be my trade but the economy got in the way, nowadays I don't need to worry about economics so I can afford to get back into it.
Here in North america there's not as many people in the trade as in Europe where its common place. It's one of those trades that either you have the ability or you don't, it can't be faked Steve.
