Busy today from the looks of it. Have been non stop since I got in this morning.

 

Being busy means job security and that your day goes by quicker Shaun.
It`s -9°C, seems like forever since we`ve had a single digit temperature.

My brothers doing okay, he's getting fat and 5 minutes after I get there he loses all interest in the visit and starts walking back and forth from his room to the tv area Morris. Its a pita to visit him but the reality is that with power of attorney over his affairs puts me in a posistion to protect my mothers estate against my other brother, should she croak.

A few days after Xmas James, his wife and myself did the Costco and Walmart trip. We noticed his transmission was slipping in the van. The options were to replace it with a used one, $1800, a rebuilt one $3800 or list it on kijiji for $3000 and sell it to a drunken redneck meth head for $1500 so that he can leech beer money from his wife while 'fixing' it. I noticed last week that it was gone and Rob's minivan was parked in it's place. Last night I dropped by and asked about the old minivan and his mother started to fill me in on the story. He listed it on kijiji for 3000, sold it for 1500 to a drunken redneck meth head that showed up with his pregnant wife, kid in the arms and one in a stroller, he's a 'racing' mechanic. She described him as smart as a 2 x 4 and claims that I have plywood smarter than her. James had a hard time not laughing so he got Nga to finish the deal and collect the money while James went to Timmies and did the deal with Rob for his van at $2000. For $500 he got the transmission, sliding door and back of the passenger seat fixed and had a red van instead of a blue one. Nga said the guy was like my neighbor when I first moved into my old place which lead to about 1 1/2 hours of describing my NASCAR truck racing champion, builder of the motor that Kevin Harvick used when he beat Mark Martin at daytona neighbor. It was a late night.

 

Then it starts all over again the next day.
I don`t envy anyone dealing with estates and such, my wife did that with her brother`s passing last yr.
What make and yr was the van Perry?

 

I don't pay much attention to minivans Morris other than to notice that their blue Toyota became a red Toyota. The new van is one that Rob bought from the insurance auction and bought a rear hatch from the wrecker and had the local school shop class mount and painted it to match. He drove it a bit for 2 years and made enough that it didn't cost him anything. About the only time the van got used was when Robs 4 x 4 got stolen, the 4 x 4 got stolen twice. lol Luckily for James Rob didn't work on it.

Finally getting the congestion out of me Morris. Took some maximum strength decongestant to do it though.

 

I`m beginning to think mine is turning into bronchitis, I`m going to the doc tomorrow.

 

I would Morris. That can turn into pneumonia if your not careful. And that is no fun at all.

I'd get that cold checked out Morris, I'm lucky as I've got my meds and can knock out a cold pretty fast with them.

 

I`ve had pneumonia yrs ago so I`m pretty careful about it Shaun, I`m seeing my doctor tomorrow morning. Today was my dentist appointment and again tomorrow afternoon. In between is my investment counselor meeting, it`s going to be another busy day tomorrow.
What kind of meds can knock out a cold Perry? I`ve tried a few and none seem to do much.

Went to the auction tonight, first time in a month, it was a slow show and I only spent $73 but got my $s worth.

I've got Spiriva, Symbicort and Salbutomal so if I feel a cold coming on I double dose the Spiriva and use the other 2 more often and it dries my lungs out and stops the cold from setting in. It's a bit rough on the ticker and I do the Parkinson's shake all day long but it beats getting sick and in my case, winding up in the hospital if I'm not careful.
