We're lucky up here with our winter, we get a lot of temperature breaks with these chinooks. Today and tomorrow are my last days with these upper teeth so today is going to be a runaround day as theres a cold snap coming in and I'm prepping for a housebound spell. Should be interesting this time as it'll be another quit smoking attempt also.
It was nice until just before Christmas then it turned bitterly cold, this last warm spell is coming to an end after this weekend.
Good luck with quitting smoking, it hasn`t worked for me yet.
This will be my umpteenth attempt in the last few years but if I don't try to quit I never will quit Morris.
Am trying to make a Saskatoon run worthwhile so I've got a question for you regarding a transmission you said you had last year. I'm thinking about putting my 390 into the M68 Merc but I don't have a standard or bell housing laying around, you wouldn't happen to have one in the back 40 would you.
I know I should quit but that`s a lot different then wanting to quit.
I had a 4 sp with a bell housing from a 76 F250, not sure if I still have it or if it went for scrap. I`ll check to see if it`s still around. If I don`t reply please remind me.
Evening Morris and Perry..
I'm surprised to hear you even smoke Perry with your breathing problems. I quite a 2 pack a day habit when I was 26 because I was being out worked by a 63 year old man and he will be turning 97 this year and still going strong..
When I think about all the things I've quit and put behind me, it really bugs me that I still smoke. I'm going to really use the $250 - 300 a month that I'll be able to reinvest into what I want to do as a strong motivator.
The 75 F250 that I have in the yard is a 390 so hopefully yours is also Morris, just hope it's a 4 speed.
If this road trip comes off it'll be the first weekend in February that I do it. Will be travelling with a friend so that it can be done in a day. May leave Friday night in order to be back Saturday night as buddy has a really early start on Mondays and usually is in bed by 3 on Sunday.
Good for you John.
I hear you Perry, it`s a waste of $250 - 300 every month not to mention the health.
That transmission came from a 76 F250 with a 390, it`s your`s if I can find it. I`ll try to remember to look for it soon, after this weekend it gets colder.
It sounds like it will be in the -15°C to -20°C range in the beginning of Feb.
No need to throw anything my way, I`ll be happy to see it gone and someone make use of it if I still have it. Besides it`s pretty hard to get anything past my wife.
Good morning Shaun, how`s your day looking so far?
The wind is keeping the fog away this morning for my trip to town. It`s been quite foggy here all week.
