Happy Saturday'All. I slept till 9, and took me 5 minutes to get out of bed. I'm a stubborn guy, and made breakfast this morning. I'm still in much pain. Took some Tylenol muscle & body. Hopefully it will allow me to have a shower. I've had kidney stone, and was operated on. I thought that was painfull. It was only one part of my body. This hurts all over. At least I can walk today. Nice mug's John. We use Vista Print at work. they seem to do a good job. Perry; we're heading into a deep freeze for Christmas. I caved , and bought Dawn a Diamond pendant & necklace, and a PVR for the TV in our bedroom. As usual, I spent too much this year. My truck will suffer. Shaun; I hope your off for Christmas. Gerry; Nice to have you around again! Morris; Keep those home fire's burnin. Have a great day guy's.
I worked through the holidays for years as I usually had a sales promotion going and when I stopped doing sales and went into landscaping I kept it up as usually more got done on long weekends when most people were away. Went from high stress sales to medium stress outdoor work and it was Dr. prescribed.
Thisi s one of the holiday breaks where there is no one on campus. All of the students have pretty much gone home for the holidays and wont be back until next month.
I'm caving in this afternoon also Grant and am going to Canadian tire to get a good buddy a tool set as he keeps making excuses for not being able to find his. Buddy has done me a few solid favors and its more of an investment in a good friendship, he'll put them to use. Got to go soon so TTYL.
Been a while since Ive been on here. I usually work through the holidays if possible, but that will not be happening for a long time anymore. My wife and I welcomed our first child to the world on December 21st. Our daughter, Madelayne (Mad-a-lane) Anne Friesen weighed 8 pounds, 10 oz and was 21.5" long. We have decided that we wont be posting any pictures of her on any websites till shes a little older so no photos, sorry.
Also found out my uncle had a fairly substantial heart attack and was rushed to the same hospital we are at. He is recovering but will need a new kidney as the medication he has to take will stop the little function of whats left of his one kidney. But the good news is his brother is a perfect match and willing to donate a kidney to my uncle. And also on the bright side, it allowed my aunty to come see my daughter.
Grant, falling sucks lol. I know how you feel, i fell down the stairs in my house last year spring. I was running down the stairs and then next thing i know, my legs are up in the air and I'm staring at the ceiling. I landed on my back, butt and elbow. It was not fun. I hope you feel better soon
I hope everyone is having a safe and healthy holidays.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Down to -21°C tonight then in the -30°C range for the next week to 10 days.
A bummer of a way to spend the Christmas Holidays Grant, hope tomorrow finds you in a lot less pain.
Hello and congratulations to you and your wife Randy! My oldest son was born on Christmas morning. Sorry to hear about your uncle, hopefully all goes well for him.
Congratulations on the daughter Randy and I hope your Uncle gets better.
My buddy James goes to Home Depot and sees this thing dancing and singing a song, turns out its not a homeless bum trying to raise beer money but the floor display that they have. So naturally he wants it and they sell it to him for $50 as its the last one that they have, amazing that there weren't a few more but this is a heavy drinkers town. So here is your Christmas card folks, I'll get a recording of it doing its song and dance.
It hasn't traumatized their dog or 3 year old yet, don't know what the 11 or 14 year old think of it. Told him to get a Sally Ann style kettle and put it outside on the corner to see if it can earn an income, another hard workin Albertan he'd be.
Happy Christmas Eve Mornin'all. Congrats Randy on the new Critter. I'm feeling better today, still in pain, but getting around. Bitterly cold here today, but that's ok. Nobody's going anywhere. Perry; we have a Santa doll from the fifty's, it almost looks evil. The dog's get totally freaked over it. Ian: If you ever get a chance post a picture of the chopper you fly, I love helicopter's. We are on the flight path to St Andrews Airport, where a lot of helicipter's are based. I can watch them all day. We were in San Diego 20 yrs ago, and saw an Apache squadron coming into Miramar AFB, very cool. Have a great day guy's
One more sleep before the fat man comes down the chimney.
If that big Santa passed the dog and 3 year old test then all is well Perry.
Hope it`s a quiet Christmas day at work Ian.
2 kids knocked on the door to see if I wanted the sidewalk shoveled, told them no as the 1 cm of snow made the yard look nostalgic but handed them the treat bowl and made sure they filled their pockets. To cold out for the cats so its to cold for me. Am turning down turkey dinners as I don't want to lose my appetite for turkey until I've feasted on mine.
Glad your getting better Grant, good thing you don't do the chimney slide. lol
