Good afternoon Perry, John, Grant and all who lurk here.

They`re worlds apart John, my 53 is a classic, neat looks and brings back a lot of fond memories of dad`s 53. It`s going out today when I go over to the neighbours for some more corn. The Mustang handles corners like it`s on rail, can pin me back in the seat when I feel like it and stops on a dime. Modern comforts are a good thing.
A beautiful job on that bench Perry, I`m blown away! Good luck with Frankie.
That desert looks looks yummy!
This pickup handles just like a new car or truck Morris but doesn't pin you to your seats but has ample power to pass when you need to..It rides really nice..but then it's not a stock suspension either..
Thanks Morris, the bench was a sentimental thing for Lucille as she and her late husband Glen used to sit in it and enjoy the moment, her kids wanted to replace it but she kept saying no, really enjoyed doing it for her. At 88 she still has bright dark red hair and it isn't dyed, thats why I chose the color. Frankie had to settle for a piece of store bought pumpkin pie as the apple pie is for the new place, treats were good.
Hope you enjoyed the cruise John. The F350 really handles good and 2nd/ 3rd gear makes for a fast truck with the rear gear and no weight, stopping is another story and its a pig when you have any weight in it.
I'm liking this pickup more every time I take it out. I'm going to swap out the front cross member in the panel maybe this winter. Will be a pretty big job if I can't do it without pulling the motor...Hoping I can just suspend it from my shop crane..
Your pickup may handle like a car but my stock one has a mind of it`s own, I`m hopping my resto rod will have modern car handling.
That`s a great story about the bench, I imagine Lucille really appreciated you refurbishing it for her.
Costco has a huge pumpkin pie for $5.99, it does taste good.
I found that stopping was a bit challenge with my loaded older one tons, that separates the men from the boys.
Do you have a stock cross member now John and what are you going to replace it with?
My panel is build on a Chevy C10 chassis and has the stock cross member with narrowed control arms but having trouble with premature tire wear because the geometry is out so found a custom built bolt in with the right tracking.
