Retirement doesn't always seem to live up to its billing, would've liked a store to sit in so friends could come in and visit, now I'm in a constant behind the 8 ball state.
This bird houses idea is getting to be a bit much but should be worth it in the long run, it had better be a long run.
I'm building 2 of these and mounting them on 12' posts on the lot lines by the alley fence so that the cameras can view the outside of the gates and garage doors for about 70 meters on either side of my yard. It will mean a 150 meter CCTV zone in the alley that will cover about 16 of my neighbors back alley entrances. Anyone who does a break in will show up in the camera and I can print a picture of them. From there we can decide if we post the picture on the light poles in the area or deal with the Criminal Protection Service.
I`m not used to to this old age thing either John but so far I can't complain about my life too loudly. I heard that the alternative is worse. That 53 re pop fender arrived late yesterday John, minimal damage so I`m happy with it....if it fits half decent.

I`d prefer to retire running antique Ford only wrecking yard in my retirement Perry, 5-6 yrs ago I had a fairly decent start on one that I probably should of kept it up. That motorcycle still looks like it needs some TLC, reminds me of my 53. .
That`s a real smart idea to hide the cameras inside the bird houses, and worth a rep point. I don't often hand them out so I`m limited.
I'm still building up a parts fund for the bike Morris, there's been so much upgrading done around here that its made it hard to save any money. Ran out of $ in the yard fund so I'm putting off the last 23 fence boards until spring, have old 5' boards where I need 6' boards.
