I usually do that same thing. Make competition battle it out. I did the same thing when we had the new Michelin's put on Shari's Escape last summer. i actually enjoy it, and I did end up with a sweet deal on great tires.
I did, she did the usual "Larry before we get started I'd like to thank you for being a valued customer since 2012". I cut her off with "I'll be a Ex customer if I don't have insurance and proof of insurance by the time I hang up, Geico is patiently awaiting to take my business"
Needless to say I got the proof, and now I have it tagged in my name.

You got to do what you got to do.
Glad to see you got your new truck all legal.
I did finally get my refund from Crutchfield late this last Friday, and spent it Saturday morning on a new set up. This time coming from an audio stereo store in Clearwater Fl.
I upgraded a few notches from the Pioneer that I sent back to Crutchfield. And this place has a face plate that looks bone stock, right down to the ***** for climate controls etc. And went to a new for 2017 Kenwood, and a connection set up called idatalink, that will let the stereo show truck information like tire pressure, two different gauge selections, check engine lights can be cleared, and will even give codes from the OBD2 of the truck. And the place did all of the wiring for me, and it takes 2 thumb drives for the downloads for vehicle functions/gauges, and they did that for me too. All for about what I got back from Crutchfield.
New goodies should be here tomorrow.
Now, to hurry up and wait again...
Here's what I'm getting, other then I'm getting a newer model Kenwood.
Did you order one for a honda accord. Because that car on the display sure don't look like a truck.
Buddy, I do recall telling them it's for a 2015 F150. But, with all of the great reviews that Crutchfield has (One less now), and the mess that I went through. And this morning I check the tracking number from the shop in Florida that shipped my new stuff out, shows it only weighing 2 pounds, and going to a Florida address, it wouldn't surprise me a bit, that I'd get the wrong stuff.
They did end up giving me the wrong tracking number. Now my stuff is supposed to be at THIS house, tomorrow, and weighs 15 pounds. So, I'm hoping, that it does get here tomorrow, and that it's what I believe I bought.
Guess time will tell.
I am "Mr. Example". If it can mess up to anybody, no matter what it is, it'll be me. Always has been that way.
Go figure, it's raining.
The new stereo stuff is out for delivery today. And I have to hang out of the passenger side front door to get the air bag out of the way. But I'm still hopeful to have the new stuff in and playing. If not today, then tomorrow looks dryer.
Thanks Larry, stuff showed up as we were eating dinner. Now it's darker and cooler than I want to jack with. So I'll be outside tomorrow early getting this thing installed.
