Bob, good luck finding a trailer.
Hope all you fine folks are having a wonderful day
Be Good!
Well fellers, Shari is on an airplane by now and should be taking off in the next 30 minutes. Tim just left for work, and I'm unsupervised until this Friday evening, when Shari comes back. But what a heck of a time to spend a week in Minnesota. Shari said the warmest day this week is Friday when she leaves, it's supposed to hit 40* then.
The winter weather here is something we are going to miss.
I've got Shari's Escape to get inspected this week, and groceries for Tim and I today. Then I guess I'll go through the attic and see what I can get packed, and what I can get rid of.
Y'all have a good day
Great game last night. I don't normally watch, but I always try to catch the super bowl.
Bob, sometimes I come across trailers really cheap on craigslist. Some bearing work, maybe a couple of tires and it may be possible to get back out of it what you put into it, depending on the market where you are moving to. Either way, right now if you rent you won't get that money back, so the goal would be just to spend less than that!
Finally received the new license plate for Ka'Bluey today. The other tag expired a week ago.
I didn't see anything other than the new registration paper that came with the new plate.
I expected to be told to turn in the other plate. But I want to keep it anyways...
To answer my own question.
There's a form I can fill out on line for a lost/stolen plate. So I can do that and keep that plate hid. Then both plates will go on a wall of my next garage.
Another day of trying to get the check engine light to work on Shari's 08 Escape, tomorrow.
I really don't see why that has to work to pass a state inspection, when the tech is going to use a code reader or scan tool checking for emission's codes.
The last few years I've been able to wiggle fuses and wire harnesses. So far I've been able to get a dim light that flickers, but that isn't enough.
I've always thought that was weird, as long as the OBD2 port works I see no reason for the CEL to have to work. Seems like a money racket to me, just like the rest of the BS emission testing.

No argument here!

"The light bulb for CEL has a power feed with 12 volts runing to it with key on all the times. The same power feed in the cluster powers up the seatbelt, light, ABS and a couple others. Since you said the other lights work, then...
a PINK/Light Green wire runs directly from the PCM ( computer) to the light bulb in the cluster. The PCM makes the ground to turn on the light. See below on right of diagram,There is nothing else inbetween.
You have one of 3 things going on. Either the cluster is bad and the connection for the bulb in the cluster not working OR there is a break or cut in the wire from PCM to cluster OR you have a bad PCM not sending the ground signal.
You need to get to PCM at firewall under hood. I think the PINK/LT GREEN wire is 2nd in on top row of wires at the plug. be sure it is not cut around there, If not,, you can back up on the wire and cut it, then.. ground the end going to cluster. If the bulb then lights, you have bad PCM. If it does NOT light doing this, then you have a break in the wire between PCM and cluster OR a bad cluster. This is really all it can be. I hope this makes sense"
Next, we'll see a pic of Ka'Bluey sitting on top of the Escape...lol. Bob usually has pretty good luck fixing things that way.
Glad you got it working.
Maybe he shot the cluster????
Trying to plan the yearly fishing trip now... looks like we might have two full cabins of beach bum fishermen. Is anyone here interested? It's about a 3 hour drive from the Raleigh area, Topped with a hour-ish ride on a ferry. The cabins have 6 bunks, AC (hopefully) and bathroom and stove. No refrigerator, but we've got a couple big coolers going. Everything from the ferry on is awd\4wd only or walking. Atv's are allowed as well. I may have a couple of open seats this year. Not sure yet. There is parking at the ferry office, if you wanted to drive down, and ride out about with someone else.
