Just checked in on friends and family back in Missouri after hearing about sever storms that are heading through the state.
Where we moved (Ozark) in Southern Missouri, and all the way to the Kansas City area where our families are. Everybody is heading to their basements with Tornado sirens going off, and a lot of hail coming down.
Babysitting the smoker today. There's an almost #10 pork shoulder in there for sinner tonight. And leftovers for a few day's. Oh, and I always put some brats in there for lunch and dinners.
Thanks James, I've heard from everybody in the Kansas City area, and they're all fine. A tornado did touch down east of them, in the Oak Grove/Grain Valle area, and quite a bit of damage there.
If you take a minute and look through these pictures, check out #10. And that happens a lot, neighborhoods destroyed, and then a house with not even a shingle missing. We've been through a few ourselves. And I was a volunteer for our Fire department, as well as Disaster Relief and other organizations that would go to damage sites and do whatever we could to help. If you've heard about the F5 tornado that hit Joplin Missouri, well I was there, at the high school that was destroyed.
While I was cleaning up the rest of the brush I checked to see if the tires would scrub... they got close, but never scrubbed. Then I burned off around the pond, just to make sure it didn't go anywhere I got the brush truck over so I was covered since it was a tiny bit breezy.
Nice looking Brush Truck. I have a lot, of pictures from my time as a Volunteer Fire Fighter back home. You will hear and see things that you will never be able to forget. And there are plenty of good memories too though.

Yea it's a pretty sweet brush, just needs better tires. Those street meats suck.
My first eye opener was when I strapped a woman to the back board to get air lifted that I have known my whole life.
It was not fun being out in that rain, it was going side way!
Good thing was it stopped by the time I got to my first off load.
Bad thing was because of the rain the rest of my loads were canceled, no work no pay.
So at home had a few cups of tea and went out and cut the front yard as it was looking pretty ruff looking.
The whole time cutting the grass I was thinking........yep snow on Sunday!

It really did clear up nicely later this morning. I almost fired up the lawn mower myself, Dave.
But found myself doing some errands for Shari. And that was way better. i got out of the house for a few hours. I'm home so much anymore, that when I do, get out doing errand, I don't even break the speed limit. I'm becoming an old guy.
Work has been nuts lately, so I'm trying to get out to the shop to relax and feel productive. Still working on that core support, it's just caked in dirt. I could do with more daylight hours. May try to hit it with the pressure washer tomorrow after work.
