The current requirement for the coil side of the relay should be about .1 amp, so any circuit will be fine.

Good deal, I appreciate the help. I got everything wired up and routed like I wanted yesterday except that one wire. Also got all of the fuel system plumbed and installed except the rear tank because I need a fuel filler tube still. Lots to do but gotten alot done.

Thanks again.

Well I have both tanks in, all the fuel lines ran, selector valve wired up, and the fuel pump relay completely wired up and it all works.

Question, while I still have everything apart and while I am waiting for my ac condenser to come in I have been entertaining adding a electric fan using the EEC relay I have leftover from the EEC, does anyone have a recommendation on which aftermarket one to use?

Not sure the EEC relay is up to the task, but I don't know what its rating is. Fans pull a lot of current, and Bill Vose was showing me recently that one he has uses a standard Bosch-style relay for low, and a really HD relay for high.

And, speaking of current, have you upgraded to a 3G alternator? If not you should if you are going with electric fans as the standard alternator can't keep up with them and the HVAC blower at the same time.

I was going to look into trying to get a higher rated alternator when I get to the point of putting the front of the engine back together. Are you referring to 3G as using a chevy alternator or a different Ford one?

The 130A *Third Generation* Ford alternators came into being with the advent of e-fans in cars like the Taurus & Lincoln.

There are many threads about this swap/upgrade.

Be mindful if you have an ammeter in your truck, that is going to have be modified or eliminated
(You did say you have gauges and not idiot lights?)

Rocketman will turn your ammeter into a volt meter.

I saved his page in case I ever decide to go that way but I think I'll wait for now.

IT IS ALIVE!!

Just to update and a HUGE thanks to all that helped me especially Gary....I got the truck to run tonight. I figured out that I have to switch the fuel lines on the switch valve since I put fuel in the front tank and had to put it on the rear tank to get fuel out of it but other than that she did crank. I don't have the radiator in it yet cause I am still waiting on a condenser but it was killing me not to know if it in fact would run. Once I figured out the right tank she cranked right up and idled nice and smooth. Even put it in gear to make sure that it would since I knew nothing of this truck before hand. It's like Santa came early again.
