The guy is legit, he's a retired Airborne Ranger, he wouldn't mislead a fellow Ranger, it's bad ju ju. I've seen the title signed over to him that he just never processed through the system to have it officially changed to his name, till I offered to buy the truck. For the record, I have only paid him $260 for the truck so far.
It was nice to meet Matt and his 2 boys today, also good to see James and Josh again. My first pass I screwed up and miss judged the track, went to third gear way to soon and bogged the engine down. My second pass I came back around for vengeance and made a 12 second pass that was good enough to get me a third place out of 6 trucks.
I had a great time. Really enjoyed talking to your dad for a few minutes. Your sister drives better than most men out there.
We figured your first run, since you had to go first, was going to be tough. Breaking new ground and finding out the lines. But your second run was awesome. You nailed it and were just slightly off the fastest run.
It was nice meeting Matt and his kids. We all had plenty of food and drink. After a small snafu with a cranky burner we were able to cook everything on the grill.
I'll post up some photos over on the bogs/events thread tomorrow.
Good meeting y'all fellas too. Thanks for welcoming me and sharing grill, food and drinks.
That was the first mud race the boys and I have been to and we had fun watching these drivers lay the hammer down and work their way through the soup. Larry's first pass taught everybody else to avoid that deep hidden hole he found being the Guinea pig on that side of the track, he smoked that second run though.
I knew I had my work cut out for me in the first run, and made a decision to try and build up enough speed to try and break through. Instead it bogged down, I'm not a 100% sure but I think it may of coated the air filter when I hit that hole and contributed to the bogging down.
Had a blast at the race. Glad we got to see Larry's second pass. There were some great looking and sounding trucks out there. Sorry bout the whole situation with the propane burner. Glad it didn't cause any damage though, well besides to itself. That design makes less and less sense to me as I look at it. Next time I may just bite the bullet and take the charcoal grill. Just didn't feel like taking the time to clean it out to haul it there.
Well best get back to that to do list for the weekend, since yesterday was a play day, today I get to do some house work and yard work.
That's awesome man. I have a walker hound that lives in the house, wait till that lil hound dog starts hunting in your house and baying at 3am. lol. Nothing like it.

I've got a couple walker also, they stay outside though, you know everything that moves in the yard though
We know how the next few nights will be in the house for Larry... Looks like fun though.
You hit that nail on the head! Needless to say the little guy didn't like the dog crate, even though it is a extra large one. It was the first time he was alone at night, and caged up. Wife is going to pick him up a couple stuffed animals for company in the cage. Once he is house trained he will have free roam of the house just like my yellow lab, but until then I'd rather clean up the crate than the carpet.
Remington wasn't to sure what to think about the little guy though...
