Well we looked first in the Ashville area as I loved it there. But the wife had plans for the coast and we'd been researching the Wilmington and Hampstead area for a couple years. So we knew where we wanted to be. Looked at a few houses and fell into the perfect deal the second day we got here. We've already been in the camper for 35 days. Ready to be out.
Well congrats on finding your new home. And I don't know if I could do 35 day's in a camper.
Shari and I spent a good part of the day out looking at drones
Tim is wanting one for his birthday, and since last year his birthday plans fell apart due to people not doing what they were supposed to do, he ended up with nothing.
So this year it's a 2 for 1. Yeah a few more bucks, but he's a heck of a good young man.
I found one that I like, but new this thing self's for up to $800.
I have one lined up on craigslist (yes a used birthday present) but it's in really great shape, and not close to the new price. And this brand, is well rated, and parts aren't hard to get for it.
Ok, enough air conditioning, back outside and finish mowing the yard.
Y'all have a good rest of the weekend.
And Summer Slam on the WWE tonight
Yeah, I like it
Been kind of a lazy day today, after 460 miles Friday night and yesterday, and less than 2 hours sleep Friday night.... I made up for it and slept tell 630 this morning. Yes that is late for me.. typically lucky to make it tell 5. We made a trip to tractor supply to pick up dog and chicken food as well as a few other things. Also picked up the oil for the bike and got that changed, man its hot. Time to get some dinner going and have a cold one.... or 6.
I did meet up with the guy yesterday, and did, buy Tim a DJI Pantom 3 drone.
I got a good deal on it for $400, only a month old, and not a scratch. With all paperwork, and in the box. He said he maybe used it 7 times, and it doesn't look like it.
Not sure what today holds for me, other than doing groceries later this morning.
Fun, fun, fun.
My son has wanted one for a while. A good one like that, not willing yet though. He's only 12...
I understand. Tim will be 22 a week from today. And last year everything fell apart, trying to rebuild him a fresh engine for the riding mower I gave to him, that was his grandpa's, so he ended up getting nothing. We just forgot about it after waiting for weeks, then months on parts, and the machine shop.
So we made up for it this year.
We put on a decent Christmas Light show, and we've been talking about doing video from above the house. So it worked out.
Here's a still shot from last year, of the house lit up.
This year will mostly look the same, except for the Spiral Tree that we made. Last year we only had 4 channels that were left over, so that's what we put on the tree.
This year we bought two more controllers, and all 32 channels are for the tree. The Spiral Tree alone, will have 3200 lights on it.
