Vary nice Matt
I've had the worse year in my life fishing wise this year. Have only been once, and that was at our Spring Fling camping trip the last April. And I didn't get anything.
Unk Bob
Did anybody catch anything from the bank at the Fling...
Did you even toss a line out????
Sure did, tried for 30 or 40 minutes, and not even a nibble. That and I could hear everybody else laughing and having fun. So that helped my bad of fishing end a little faster.
Nice catch!

I don't think so. But if anybody did, it would have been Marty's nephew, Wesley. And I don't think that he did any good either.
That water was still pretty cool.
Oh look it's Friday night, and I'm not at Mary's house. Looks like it's time for some brews! The race is long past, and yet I still have beer left over. Tonight will be an Amber ale, brewed for one of the guys that goes to the race (Collins, ya'll met him) so it's rather high in the abv, and has a fairly mild taste. And yes, I've had a few already.
So for those that have gotten to know me, they know I've rented out a room to an old friend for a few years. Well I went out of my way to marry him off to a beautiful girl.. and it took her 1 month to be sick of him... ergo... he moved back in. Lucky me.
So fingers crossed he moves out next weekend... and just to help, i'm going to load everything I can of his into the trailer Sunday!!! I'd ask for help, but he is such a miser that I can't honestly ask for anyone else to want to know him....
FWIW, although I haven't been out fishing a whole lot this year myself, I've heard this has been a difficult year for everybody so far. Likely attributed to the weather. Hopefully this fall it will improve.
Sure got quiet here the last couple of days.
Anybody have anything exciting going on this weekend
Unk Bob
Heck yeah! Installing new fuel tank and sending unit, new front brakes, and whatever else I find that might be in the way of those two things. Exciting
If my wife has plans I'll check with you and see if you could use a hand.
That would be incredible, THANKS Bob. Only thing that I can see holding anything up is the wheel bearings being bad. Fortunately, there are at least 3 auto parts stores within 10 minutes of my house.
Should be making a run to a guy's house nearby who has some parts trucks this weekend, could be a bonus for both of us.

Nothing new or exciting to report. Same old, same old, getting older, slower and fatter..........
I did change the air filter in the Diesel and the cabin filter in 13 Escape (that's one engineer that should be shot in the ***) yesterday.
We rode the bikes to Garner yesterday, got our *** soaked too! But we saw Keith Urban in concert last night. Planning on heading towards highpoint after some breakfast to meet some other guys!

I don't think I've owned a vehicle that had that cabin filter. I think Chebby did that more than . I have at least changed more cabin filters in a Chebby.
Wow David, y'all weren't messing around. I thought you were in the looking stages of moving
So, did you get a place on the coast like you mentioned
Well we looked first in the Ashville area as I loved it there. But the wife had plans for the coast and we'd been researching the Wilmington and Hampstead area for a couple years. So we knew where we wanted to be. Looked at a few houses and fell into the perfect deal the second day we got here. We've already been in the camper for 35 days. Ready to be out.
