The BBQ we did for Shari's friends came out to be a nice time this last Saturday. But it sure took it's toll on my back, WHEW. I always prep food the day before, and then kill the next day at the smoker. I also got most of the front yard mowed, until the mower locked up on me, yup the block has had a small crack in it, and was dropping bolts from the engine block. And it still amazes me that a bolt can drop out, with that blade spinning like a bat out of blue blazes, but it did.
This crack got worse, and was emptying the oil before I finished the side yard, then it locked up solid on me. A quick trip to Wallyworld, to snag a new mower and we were back on track.
That took a few really good pain pills to get me relaxed that evening. But we did have a nice time.
I put the mower out front with a free sign on it, and it's gone already. But I wish I was mad enough to drive Ka'Bluey over it like I did the last mower that locked up on me.
if you hadnt run over the deck the predator engines at HF are pretty good and fit pretty much most decks.. if the shank matched your previous engines shank its an easy job to swap the blades over.. i put one on moms mower when the tecum**** engine quit on it.. she actually likes it better than the tecum**** engine cuz its easier for her to start..
shes got reduced strength in her arms and had trouble pulling the starter cord on the old one.. pulling effort on the predator engines alot easier. for $90 its way cheaper than buying a whole new mower... the only thing i had to do was add a throttle cable cuz the tecum**** had an auto floating throttle. predators manual throttle.
We were talking about the Hum Vee's while driving out to the Mud race, here's the website I was talking about that had them in all sorts of different conditions:
Shari's working from home, Rocky is getting his bath today, so I'm gonna fire up Ka'Bluey today and get some play time in. Quite possibly, get out a wrench or few and find something to tinker on.
I have finally found a place that will make my Wyle E. Coyote that I've been wanting to do since we bought the last truck, nearly 3 years ago.
I'm having 50, or 25 pairs made, and will have them early this next week. They're made of heavy, high quality vinyl, (Or I fell for it) and should last quite a while.
If we have any Chapter members that would like a pair, PM me and I'll let you know more.
Unk Bob

I've had the worse year in my life fishing wise this year. Have only been once, and that was at our Spring Fling camping trip the last April. And I didn't get anything.
