According to CBC the air quality index was at 38 this morning, warnings come out when the index hits 8. With my lungs I keep an ear open for the numbers, good thing I'm not in the Mac.

Had six baby skumks fall into my window well some time yesterday. Cute as hell, but they are pretty poor climbers. We mae a staircase out of firewood for them to get out, but three remained this morning. Put on some gloves and scooped them out. boy they were MAD!! They were too small to spray, so it was kind of funny to see them try.

Building a cover for the window well this morning. I don't need them in there again.

Lucky you didnt run into mama skunk. You may want to go to the dollar store for some cheap pepper and sprinkle some on their trail or you may get more little stinky ones visiting you.

Thats like midnite in the Mac, surprised everyone there isnt on a respirator.

Got to work hurt today thanx to a trip down the stairs, some of these home viewers like to play with the light switches and cant figure out what a photo sensor looks like and why they dont work during the day. Got in at 11.15pm made it to the top step and light wasnt on so I turned to turn on the light switch and slipped on a "let me sell your house" brochure. Thump thump thump ow, glad I put carpet on stairs a couple of years ago and still have a set of crutches. Sore hip rib and shoulder but its just bruised muscles so as long as I stay mobile the pain goes away. Friggin hurts like hell if I stop and sit for 10 minutes. Had a chat with the listing agent and am taping up light switches and printing up a list of do not do's, some people have no respect for other peoples places.
Hope the rain is heavy enough to do some good.

Yikes Perry, sounds like that was pretty bad, but hey look at it this way, it could have been worse. Folks die from little things like that. Take care of yourself. If you need exercise, just crutch yourself over to 17th ave for some soup for lunch. You'll either feel a hell of a lot better, or a hell of a lot worse.

Yeah 77, this is like one of those physiotherapy deals, the more you stay mobile the sooner you feel better. Had stringers and panel boards to put on this fence, same thing today. Seniors that dont go for walks usually go for the first walk, they feel the first day aches, pains and tiredness and give up not realizing that all that starts going away on the 2nd walk. Doesnt take much to stay in basic shape but it sure helps the overall health.

Let it rain for a week, that's my vote. Sounds like the NW area off the province could be getting some localized flooding. I used to do work around Grande Prairie, Fox Creek and Hinton, all areas that seem to get all the moisture a bit too fast.

I'm spending my weekend out near Rimbey, in a little pocket that seems to always be about five degrees cooler and a touch wetter than the surrounding area. Some kind of cloud trap or something.
