You have one of those curved screens, what is the advantage of them..?
This was a replacement TV John. We had flat screen that went bad that was still on a warranty. There was a screw up on the warranty service and Samsung did what they called and "in home replacement" to make it right. We had a 65" 1080 High Definition Flat Screen. They upgraded us by about $2K to the 65" Curved Screen 4K Ultra High Definition. Yep, we ran straight out and bought $20 worth of lottery tickets, but I guess Samsung used up all our luck.
I had looked at one when we got the Samsung 1080 HD flat screen, but I just couldn't stomach nor see the nearly $2000 difference in price.
One advantage is that no matter where you are at in the room it looks just about like you are looking square on. Light reflection and refraction is much less a problem and there is a big up tick between the 1080 and the 4K. They are making the 4K UHD's in the flat panels now so I don't see much advantage going curve, except they have bounced the curve up to an "SUHD" now.
Downside is a full 4K DVD player is something like $300 so we don't have one of those. 4K DVD's cost and extra 4 or 5 bucks also. Some Cable providers charge extra for 4K cable signal so that could be a factor.
Probably the biggest thing is the on screen resolution. You can actually see the pours in the skin and blood shot eyes on the actors.
There are two very bright room lights on in the room when this was taken. They are set where on the flat screen they would have been reflecting off of the screen. No sign of them on the curved screen.
Pretty quiet around here today...spent some time taking care of some business and running errands....and there went the day. Hopefully will get some shop time tomorrow. hope y'all have a nice weekend.

Belated good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 48, wet and rain.
Not sure it is your tablet Chris. I have been noticing some problems on both the desk top and the lap top this morning. Noticed it last night as well. Most web sites are fine, although a few are very slow and about half the time I get a page connection error.
Maybe it is tied into the denial of service attacks that hit the east coast yesterday.
Afternoon all! Life as a soldier here in the F****** cursed state of Colorado is certainly something. So Far: Ive managed to highside my motorcycle, only $400 worth of damage and some bruises. My truck now needs a new drag link, a steering column (that however, was my fault), and at least 2 new tires.
Now the DMV wants more money from me to finish registering my motorcycle, of course they dont tell me until nearly a month after my temp tags expire........
Take my advice, don't urinate in the wrong persons cheerios...
Jim, helluva boobtube. Now I know where my not breaking stuff luck went
Would y'all take a look at that and see what advice y'all have for me?
Hope y'all had a better week than me! I'll be home around new years, well... visiting anyway... might take the bike if the southern route weather is decent.
Mirror, turn signal, shift lever, and cowling, all need to be replaced.

Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else.
Howdy Dustin.
Are you licensing your rigs in Oregon?
Yup! Rather than pay the Colorado tax I registered the bike in Oregon to keep in in check with the truck. It also allowed me to get a 1 year warranty on the bike. So if the engine, transmission, or anything of that nature goes they get to fix it! The bike only had 5295 miles on it, in about 6 weeks I had 6700
