Jim, he is not even a year yet so a little small to butcher. If he keeps it up as soon as he is big enough he may get it. Here is a pic from Feb. when he was born. Since he was born in Feb. and has the heart on his head my daughter named him Valentine.
Oh, oh. "Valentine" for a name + daughter= Pet not steaks. Been there, done that. 4-H or FFA show animal in the making? (But not market animal project)

She does 4H, but swine. she has no problem naming and eating things. She hunts and butcher animals with me. Valentine is a Yak and due to the horns they get, the fair will not let us bring them unless we have the horns cut. We raise them just for the family to eat.
I appreciate all the advise. Unfortunately, I had soaked it in zep 45 for a day, welded a nut on, heated the flange to red hot, and the picture was taken after all that. Had to resort to drilling it out. Cut it off flush, used three drill bits, and an easy out. As I told my wife (who had no approximation for my accomplishment) "I win"
I really need to take a look under the front of my truck and figure out why my steering is loose. Too much play in the wheel and it wanders a bit. Could have something to do with the 3" coil spacer the previous owner put in.
Good evening Evan.
I don't think a coil spacer would cause loose steering, need to check steering box, tie rods, pitman arms and rag joint or what your truck has for that.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Just getting home from the farm and visiting with mother. Made sure she had dinner tonight and got safely to bed.
Found out last night my sister and BIL sent a perfectly good 150 gallon air tank, (supposedly) that was to replace a smaller one in the shop that has a hole in it, to the scrap yard. They have so much junk in the shop right now I couldn't get to the air compressors, drill press, table saw or radial arm saw anyway.

I was going to ask if that was a Yak. I was looking and the nose and hair thinking that was a little more exotic....
My daughter hunted as well. But she was a little more attached to a couple of the farm animals. We did O.K. with the market steer for 4H and FFA, but just barely.
