I'm with Jim on the Ducks.....
The Beavers had a good first half, but unfortunately are behind now with just a few minutes left.
Today I went to a farm auction and managed to pick up a few minor things. It did rain this morning but most of the sale was inside so I stayed mostly dry. It went all day, and I was able to catch up on visiting with people I hadn't seen for a while. All in all a good day.
Wasn't that a bust. I found the game. Ducks were on both the PAC 12 and PACOR Networks. But, guess what I found on ESPN 2, for all the good it did. How in the world could they blow such a big lead and end up loosing the game.
Think I'll just buy a fur bearers license to go with my duck stamps and have a real entertaining fall and winter........
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 53.3, dry at the moment but the skies out there are just flat fugly. Radar shows nasty stuff from just North and West of my place stretching clear out into the Pacific to the NW of us. Hopefully it stays North of us and the roof can get finished in the dry!
Good evening Ford Fans'.
Over slept this morning so I had to hit the ground running, FTE is not playing well with my old tablet.
Took most of the afternoon to make some brackets to fit auxiliary lights on the van.
They have all of the shingles on and set. Some flashing left and trim left. They also have to finish up the Rigid Roll Weather Protector Vent Sure Ridge Vents. Part of the Owens Corning total roof system. I think they just got wet and cold they were ready to find some warm tequila and a heater, but they said they needed some special length nails for the Ridge Vents that they did not have with them.
Then the Warden broke the Mazda on her way to work and I had to deal with that. Just got home a few minutes ago. She broke the Alternator belt, which is on the inside of the A/C-Power steering pump. I had to make a 60 mile round trip to get the belt. Then I find out that I may not be able to change it without getting it up on a rack or jacked up and on jack stands so that I can lay in a wet parking lot and get to the bolt on the bottom of the alternator bracket. Anyway, it is sitting in an open parking lot, it's raining cats and dogs and the Warden got off early so it seemed like a good excuse not to get my tools wet.
Going to look at it again in the morning. If it turns out to be that big of a PIA, we have towing insurance and it can get towed.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. A half inch of rain this morning, nearly .7 inches at the Casino where the Mazda is.
Was out there this morning getting frustrated by a bolt and an adjuster that is "underneath" and I'm really not sure I can get it without getting the car up in the air where I can work on it from underneath, as well as from the top. Looking more and more like a tow. They make these things so flipping ridiculous to try and work on, especially for "emergency road side repairs". Who'd have thunk an alternator belt could be such a PIA.
