Dealerships take those surveys very seriously. It effects the manufacturer performance bonus, and with the rising cost of cars, the smaller margin of profit, some dealers survive off of those performance bonuses.

I've thought the same thing, even applied with Firestone, and Goodyear for such a job. Was told due to my back issues, I'm a Liability in the shop
IT could work Josh. I'd just have to call you and we do a "go to meeting" like we did a few weeks ago!

Truthfully, I'd like something in the driving position. Not big rigs, or box trucks. As long as I'm in something comfortable, I can set behind the wheel for hours on end.
Ok, one top opened, another to get that way, then I have Ribs to prep for tomorrow's dinner.
Y'all behave!

I've considered a few times going a different route for work, I've got a class B cdl with hazmat, tanker, and passenger endorsment. Wouldn't take much to get my class A, but i don't want to go OTR. Then I remember I like my weekends off, and a pretty set schedule.

I've had my Class B, with Air Brakes when I was at the shop back home. I have no desire to go OTR, even if I didn't have back issues. I'm a big "homebody" person.
In the evening I like my couch, my fridge, my bed, y'all know.
But I'm really passed ready to get out of the house and in the work force. Been trying since before we moved from Missouri.
I've thought about getting back into car sales. Twenty plus years ago a guy could really make a nice living at it. I've honestly have had day's where I made well over $1000, on one sell. But I think the internet has about killed those days. And I hate, pretty pants, and neck ties.

The wheels on Ford trucks should be hub centric.

if you meaning they rest on the ridge in the center of the hub.. some have that... but if you dont tighten the lugnuts down right you can still end up with a lopsided rim.. thats why they say to cross hatch them... saw a guy just go around the tires with the gun once.. still got it lob sided.. you could literally watch it weeble wobble going down the road.. tried telling him it wasnt on straight but noooooooooo... he did it with an impact gun so it had to be on straight... "theres no way the nuts werent down tight" *rolls eyes* fricken idiot...

No argument from me. That's why the manufacturers have the program. We all understand what it takes to do a good job in a shop. First thing is, you need happy tech's. Most tech's have something they want from the dealership, besides a paycheck. Management just has to figure out what it is and provide it for the techs.

Shortly after I left Mercedes, they instituted the Master Lease program. If you were Master certified, you could lease an MB for under 200 a month. From what I understand, a lot of the Master techs did, so their wives can drive a new safe vehicle. I'd say that would bring the morale up quite a bit.

If the dealer you visited gave his techs great reason to do the best job they could, I'm sure you'd give them a raving review.

House Hunting!

Well fellers, it really looks like y'all are stuck with us.
Shari and I have been renting since we moved, just over three years ago, and have been talking about buying a house.
We've started the ball rolling a couple of months ago, and been Pre Quallified for a loan. We're looking in the Apex area, and near city's. Wanting the same thing we've had in the other two houses we've bought, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage, wood burning fireplace, and prefer a fenced back yard.

Good deal, Bob. NC is a great place to live. Been here since 69 (66 if I count the time I was stationed at Cherry Point).
