I towed through Harrisburg PA a couple of years ago and told my wife that I had been on nicer roads in Iraq... We went through Baltimore on the way home, not much better, but better.
We drove from Pensacola FL to Santa Rosa NW. We took 10/12 to 49 most of the way. Those roads were awful. There were stretches where we could barely go 40 mph. When we got to Santa Rose we were joking that we needed to be careful when opening bins because the contents may have shifted in flight.

Northern NM are the worst roads IMHO. Ive hit 46 states in 40 years of traveling and NM are bad bad bad. I think because most of NM is various indian reservations and if they can't collect enough taxes for county road work, well those state asphalt roads just go to hell, especially in the winter.
The 5 states I have not crossed with an RV are LA, MS, AR, and OK
Anyone else notice when you go from one county to another on a Fed Interstate highway that the roads go to hell fast? It's because they outsource to the lowest bid and then carve out the money they save in that county for other projects.
We need to take the CO legislators for a ride over I-70 in a pickup, towing a heavy trailer. Maybe they'll understand how crappy I-70 is.
So..... states get funds from the GOV for interstate hwys. A lot of those funds are diverted to other "state projects". You need to contact your state reps and ask them "Where the heck is the money going?!?"

No kidding. Think they call that 'Anti-Deficiency.'
Many/most states adopted 55MPH in the '70's because they didn't want to get their federal highway funds yanked.
Hey now us Cajuns have the best roads and politicians money can buy!! Try driving on U.S. Hwy 90 from New Orleans to Lafayette. Like taking a 16' aluminum flatboat across the North Sea.
Ford TPMS and camera kit finally installed on new trailer.
Finally found a valve stem setup for the heavy duty trailer rims on my Grand Design Toy Hauler. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough cable to make it up to the top rear standard position. I ended up mounting the camera on the bumper after first bringing it through the nose and and down the frame-rail. Belly of the front compartment/generator bay Rear c channel bumper grand design. The setup
I like the setup Bill. When I had my TH, I did the same thing with the rear cam.....
much appreciated. If I decide to travel more I might just get a wifi camera and mount it up in the prewired area. It’ll be the always on type though. You know, so I can keep an eye on those tailgating folks.

Ready for a CO road trip! My youngest son is off the payroll when he graduates with honors from Colorado Mesa University with a Business major and LandMan minor on May 22nd!
Have 5th wheel, will travel!
Picked up our trailer a few weeks ago. Decided on the ride home there are more necessary mods to make to the truck before the month long retirement trip in August!
2021 Dutchman Yukon 400. 42 ft 6in of luxury like I have never known in all the houses I have lived in. Can't wait to get on down the road with this rig! I just hope I can get the truck up to the task in the next 2 months so we have a very uneventful road trip.

wow. That’s one fine 5er. Looks like airbags might be needed or is that just the photo?
