^^^^ Nice! We saw some really nice Durango floor plans when we were shopping, but nobody seemed to carry them in our neck of the woods. How do you like it?

We actually just picked this up used on March 1, and so far, it feels pretty solid. Came with some additional equipment the original owner had put on; slide toppers on the two drivers side slide outs, TPMS sensors, front stabilizer bars, backup/side marker cameras with monitor and upgraded RV Lock entry way locking handle. We don't seem to have any local KZ dealerships near us, this came in on a trade, and my salesperson said they bought a Brinkley.
bought this 2013 Open Range Light to replace the first camper we ever had, a 2004 Jayco Fifth Wheel I got for a bag of peanuts. Amazingly enough I sold it for more than I paid…
Been to hell and back with this one. 2 years ago on our way down to Watoga in WV and we’re about 90 miles to the destination when a car passes by honking and pointing. I look in my side mirror and smoke billowing from the tires.
Long story short the spindle on the axle was fried and had to haul this camper on ONE axle to the park. Took about 6 hours at 15mph. A mobile repair guy helped us with the axle on the side of the road and followed us to the destination. Came back 4 days later with the repaired axle and checked everything else.
I’ve had more flat tires than I wish to talk about and my family is traumatized by that WV trip. We were 5 hours on the side of the road on a crazy downhill stretch plus the single axle ride. I was shot.
This spring I’ll be redoing EVERYTHING as I can’t trust the checklist from the dealer. I’ve been camping all my life and my kids and wife love it. But long trips are likely not in the cards anymore after that one.
Other than that the trailer has been great. 😂
my first 5r was an OR. Absolutely loved that thing. Absolutely no issues. I’m sure there are pictures of it here somewhere. I put in a B&W turnover ball in the bed of my 2012 EB SCREW SHORTY. never should have sold that thing but we decided we needed a bigger bed and fridge. Sadly today my trailer days are on pause for health reasons.
Very nice Sous! How's the new battery setup working out so far?
Thank you. We are fortunate enough to have 5 ACoE campgrounds within about 30 minutes of our home and only reserve the "top tier" spots when we are camping at Lake Hartwell.
The new battery is doing great so far. Since this is a new setup and energy storage method for us and coming from FLA, I have been keeping an eye on the cell temperatures in relation to ambient temperature. I will continue this data logging throughout the summer and make an required changes. We enjoyed the added space in the 5th wheel "garage" space as a bonus.
Good looking rigs out there , enjoy them . We enjoyed our 40’ 5thwheel that we sold back in November. We down sized to a travel trailer and I’m enjoying how much more maneuverable it is . Takes a little bit getting used to 25’ versus 40’ and max weight 7500# versus 26,500# .
I know it’s not a 5thwheel but here’s the new 2025 Bigfoot we purchased.
Picked our new 2026 Jayco Pinnacle 38SSWS with full body paint yesterday.
Previous rig was a 2022 Jayco Pinnacle 32RLTS we bought new in Oct 2001.
Original rig that my wife and I started with, a 2002 22’ Airstream International A/S we bought new and towed with a ‘98 Mercedes ML320, a ‘03 Mercedes ML500, and eventually a ‘07 VW Touareg V10 TDI which was a beast.
