Here's a better picture of it. I bought the valve covers and air filter as a kit from the Bronco Graveyard..

I've been working at getting my exhaust on this pickup, I used 2 1/4" aluminized pipe. I bought the X-pipe and mufflers from Summit Racing and had the rest bent to my measurements. I was determined to have my pipes exit the back and this was the only way to get them there because the Bronco tank takes up all the available space inside the frame rails. I made the heat shields by cutting up an aluminum drive shaft from a 1998 F150..

A couple years ago I picked up this tire carrier/cover from a Toyota Rav4 in hopes of using it for this project. It was made to fit a much deeper offset and bigger rim than the 15's I'm installing on the truck. I had to cut out the center to adjust for depth, if it didn't work out I was only out $30 ..

I just used pop rivets and metal straps to hold it in place

Then ruffed it up and applied fiberglass matting , I wasn't too concerned how pretty it looked , no one will see it..

Sprayed a bit of paint on it anyways

the plate I used is a bit heavier than it needed to be but all I had laying around. I drilled the holes to correspond with the holes in the bed strips and mounted the carrier bracket to it and cut 2 oak strips to set in the bed strips to hold the plate away from the bed wood.

Used some longer bolts to fasten it down to the bed floor

installed the nuts to hold it down securely

Then snapped the cover in place..
Now I'm waiting for my tonneau cover to arrive which should be the last thing to install..

I've been waiting to repaint the doors and running boards and also have a box lid to paint as well. The temperatures are starting to cooperate now so should get to paint the end of next week. I've been running this engine for awhile now and decided to take it up the road for a little drive . Truck seems to have a nice smooth ride to it even over some of the pot holes. Hopefully it won't be too long before the doors are ready so I can take a trip down the highway..
