Ha Ha Pat. How'd you know? You must remember how old I am. I can think of one even better. I'll see if I can find a pic on Google here in a minute.
Actually, I remember I had a AM FM 8 track in my 70 Plymouth Gran Coupe when I was a kid. Had bought a Grand Funk Railroad "quadraphonic" 8 track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=lMsIrKjSM6Y. I have no clue how they got my STEREO player (AKA 2 channel) with 4 speakers to actually sound Quadraphonic. Pink Floyd did it also with their song "Money". The cash register sounds in the beginning of the song were awesome. Different sounds came from different speakers.
Good morning guys. Sorry I missed all the fun yesterday, you can hijack my thread anytime.
I am swamped at work right now, so I have no time to check in while I'm there.
Got off work, rode my bike 20 miles, ate dinner, went to poker...and lost $6, slep, woke up, walked the dogs, rode another 20 miles, ate breakfest and finally logged onto FTE.

Nothing brings back the ol days like hearing your favorite Eagles song play........then fade out..............then..............CLUNK.......... then music fades back in. Ahhh, perfect.
My first stereo had one built in. It also had a fast forward button, so you could replay a song without having to listen to the WHOLE track....
Have a brand spanking new underdash unit in a box in the garage. Had thoughts of getting it put in the Mack. Kinda fitting for the vintage.
I had an 8 track and wore out my Molly Hatchet tape.

I've always liked Molly Hatchet,CCR,etc. But I'm a bit older than most here. I went through a couple: Elton John greatest hits (1974).
Back when he was famous for his music and myriad of different sunglasses. Rather than his ***ual preferences.
We listen to the '60's on XM/Sirrus most days in Baja... I even have the marine antenna on my boat, so we have tunes while fishing... if we want.. One of my old favorites was done by Joe South, "The games people play"... CCR & the Doors were popular in Vietnam.. 45's before 4 tracks...
I thought all those where the only kind of real music. But I guess I'm a little more modern then ya'll. I've copied all the 60's and early 70's songs to USB drives and play them in both trucks and the shop.

I'm not surprised. After all, it's your Dance Studio.

Hi Randle! I hope you are feeling better.
I did a very little work on the truck today. One thing I did get done is swap the leads for both flashers on the dash harness. I'm using LED versions of the 1156 and 1157 bulbs so I need the electronic flasher. I bench tested the CEC flasher with my taillights before I installed them and it worked great.
The power and load are reversed on our trucks so you have to push down the locking tab on top of the spade lug to remove them from the housing.
O-Y wire is power and Blue is the load to the turn signals.
Gavin, does switching the flasher get rid of the need for the resistor at the lights I have seen some people mention?
I have been contemplating the LED swap for the running and brake lights.
Hi Tim! Thanks! Are you getting ready to go, around here the ears are dropping.

Greg, you don't need a resistor. One thing I forgot to mention is the CEC flasher has an extra wire that needs to be grounded, then just swap the wires in the plug for the flasher and you are good to go.
I'll post a better pic tomorrow.
Here's a little video of the flasher working. When I say "power wire" I meant to say "positive power wire".
Both of the lamp housings were connected to ground.
