Man, you can pull a 6 horse trailor fully loaded with Clydesdales down a twisty mountain pass.....and not worry a bit.
Thanks Jeff, I can't wait to just drive it around the block.

Thanks Tim, the wiring harnesses took a lot time clean up and fix. I'm almost done with the fab work and the next step is to start working on the interior.
I got the cab step brackets installed tonight and cleaned up the shop.
Gavin, the bolt holding the bracket to the frame...is there enough thread? It should go past the nut and it appears to stop just short. I know that is a huge issue in my structural design world and we need to be past the bolt with out threads or it's just not allowed. I can see vibration becoming an issue down the road. The brackets look fantastic and the step better than new!
BTW amigo, seems that the bumper brackets & hitch are getting most of the attention, when your way inventive/creative work on your instrument panel, definitely puts you over the "MacGiver" status. How'd you come up with that idea?
I am having the same issue, but have not found the volt meter/gauge yet... where'd you find yours? I will not reinvent the wheel, since you have already done it for me..

I gotta order longer bolts and more nuts. When I did a test fit of the bracket I use standard size nuts and the bolt length was fine. The shoulder nuts are a one time use distorted thread lock nut......and they are lot taller. One step forward....

Good job on the gauge cluster.
Cheers!
Hi Tim, I'm glad you like it. Any updates on the Bronco?

I've done a little (very little) tool and die work and I happen to have that big washer and the aluminum bar lying around.
The volt meter is a Ford PN E7HZ-10850-B

Check out the description on the box, "AMMETER ASY"

Thanks Pat, I've seen that step on quite a few highboys. The set I got was for dents and the mounting brackets they give you are cheese, that's why I made my own brackets.
Just got done looking at your thread. You got some "Mad Skills" Gavin.
Attention to detail is everything. I like your style.
Having the right tools is a must, knowing how to use them is an incredible talent, very nice.

Thanks for the kind words Robert. Your work on the those grills is amazing!
Not much being done to the Bronco. I put a new larger fuel tank in it a while back, not much of a photo op though. Maria and I are headed to Florence Oregon next week for the Northwest Bronco Roundup along with 150 other Early Bronco's. I probably post pictures in the one page.
I have a retired body man lined up after the first of the year to work on the body. So something is going to happen this winter for sure.
