Hello Freight,

Sitting on a shelf, in my shop, is a nice chrome strip, from an early Mack, that reads "Mack".. Would you like it? If so, Merry Christmas, and I will haul it North next trip, (Jan 25), and mail it to you. I do not remember when or where I got it, but I know right where it is, an not a problem to throw it in a suitcase. Just PM me an address, and 'Santa' will make a late delivery...

'91 Ford rear frame rails? THAT qualified it.
Sir Mack Ford, I dub thee "Kingdom Heavy Hauler (2)". And I did.

Sorry for the Gavin.

Some of its parts are from the Dentsides, some from the Bullnose trucks, some from the '92-'96 model trucks, some from a '70 Thunderbird --it even has parts on it from an '89 Saleen Mustang, and in the future will have a 4R70W transmission from a '98 Mustang as well as the possibility of a 5.0L EFI H.O. engine from a '90 Mustang GT.

I think your truck (regardless of its compilation of parts) looks fantastic. I was just wondering why some things on it differ from what would have been the stock configuration of a '70 model Ranger. I didn't know the back story. Now It all makes sense.
I thought you might enjoy the explanation. As far as I can tell the only part that came from a '71 F350 is the VIN tag and maybe the door it's attached to.

I do like your adjustable drag link though, as when I did the PS conversion, I ended up jus tsleeving and welding up a solid drag link. As it is, I am able to turn tighter to the left, than to the right... not by much, but a noticeable amount in tight spots.

If I had to do it again I would just look for an open knuckle 44 or 60 that has discs. Going from discs to drums was like night and day. The brakes are very good, almost too good. I went with the adjustable link because it makes centering the steering wheel very easy.

There's only two ways to keep LEDs from hyper flashing; wire in blast resistors into the wires feeding the bulbs or, (and more sensible to do), simply plug a flasher relay into the connector that's LED compatible.
You splained it better mucho better than I did.

And since I don't like tan interiors I wanted the blue. So I painted the dash gray. And used the door trim panels and the console to blend the gray to the blue. I don't have any pics of this stuff though.
Is it a manual or stick?

From a '91 L9000? Ford truck:

After shot blast and some POR 15:

See Gavin, I can make stuff look nice if I want to, but I failed miserably because I didn't top coat the POR 15 and now 5 yrs later it looks like hell.

After going to the first truck show with it some people were poking at me because you can still see the Ford part number on the outside of the frame about half way back.

Jeff, I altered my Kingdom name just slightly.....if that is okay?

..............and now back to our previously scheduled program...............

A/T. That body style of T-Bird and Cougar were strictly automatics. Originally I had plans on putting a Cobra 4.6L and it's 5 speed in it. I was going to have my Buddy who is a welder, blacksmith, and was a farrier alter the Cobra's clutch pedal to fit Thundercat if that were possible. Never made it in to the investigation stage.

Unlike the earlier Fox body Birds, where everything interchanged with mustang parts(basically, chassis wise). Buddy converted a few Birds to stick. He owned a '83 Turbo Coupe Bird, bought new.

The frame looks great! What's happening to the POR-15?

I wondered if it would have had the M5OD.

POR 15 turns to crap in the sunlight. You can't hurt it with a hammer, but UV rays kill the finish. It's presently kinda a dull black, crusty look with some oil/grease splattered on for good luck. 50+ yr old transmissions and motors don't always keep their fluids inside. I spray some degreaser on it a couple times a summer to try to keep up on it. The "newer" motor is much drier, but the old transmissions are still leaking.

I should have put a topcoat of black enamel on it to seal it and keep it looking shiny, but I failed . Woulda-coulda-shoulda, as the chassis sat there for a couple months before I started on stretching the truck.

The M5OD was a truck transmission, cars all had Tremecs(T5, or T45, T46 or whatever is the latest version).

Yep. A 2000ish Mustang Cobra 305 HP 4.6L DOHC and it's Tremec T45 would have been juicy. Heck, that Crown Vic 4.6L in it now pushed that car pretty well. Even with the 3.08s in the back. I prolly would have gotten myself in trouble with 305 HP.

If you notice the red Tbird in the garage........

That is my buddies "83 Turbo coupe. He "pro streeted" it back in about 1992? Still ran the stock 2.3. Was deceiving looking, until you realized it make no noise as it went by..... It currently is getting an 800 HP small block installed with hopes to run in the low 9's.

That 2.3 then got put into a 1960 Triumph TR3, the little bug eyed car. He put the whole wiring harness in, everything worked like it should. That little car was a HOOT to drive with over 200 hp and a 5spd. Compared to the 40 sumthing HP it came with from the factory. It had real knock off wire wheels, which we were concerned it might spin the wires right out of it!!! It drove like a skateboard, rough, but handled like on rails.

Hmmm, how the heck did we veer off course so badly..............................um, back to ford trucks again..................
