To put in perspective, I was BC Big wheel(you all know that cartoon) running against John Force. And won!
My kind of racing does not entail any kind of electronics, period. I was running against all guys that race with all the electronic enhancements you can have. I told them after I won that I've been doing it the hard way for 20 yrs and maybe I should have put a button in my car from the get go?? They told me "No!".
I knew many of the guys at the event, lots I raced against for years. Others I didn't know and they had no clue who I was(Until the end). I walked out of there with a bit more respect then I came in with.

Against John Force? And WON! Boy I wish I was there to see THAT!
Electronic enhancements? That's a Band-Aid for not knowing their car. And getting a little "edge" because they think they need it. You, Sir Freightrain, obviously "know" your car! And that tree!
The ol wagon master put a hurt'n on all the button pushers. 8 Rounds to win all the marbles.
For the unknowing, this is the annual Dragway 42 Hangover Nationals. Typically it is a real race on the track, but it is under reconstruction for a couple years so they just have a practice tree race at a recreation center. About 150+ racers, with a possible 5 entries each depending on if you want to spend $5 or $20(I spent $20). I was on it, hard. No matter how hard they tried, I couldn't be beat. Good way to start the new year!
I won the last stick shift race of the 2016 season and now the first race of the 2017 season.
Wow that's so cool Larry!
I think you need an additional title...........The official "Gear Jammer" of the BSK*!!! Never misses a shift!

Cognates on the win, but that was the first part of 2017, right?! Or have I just lost my effing mind?
