Well today the truck is one year old, with 19,510 miles, wife says no party for the truck until its paid off. I did treat it to an oil and filter change and tomorrow I will change the fuel filters. I was going to give it a wash too but there is rain coming tomorrow, I think I will spruce up the interior tomorrow too.
Happy truckiversary, dualwheels66! Your truck may not be getting a party, but it sounds like you're going to spoil it a bit. Don't forget to check out these coupons the next time you plan on getting something special for your rig: Coupons and Rebates | Services | Official Ford Owner Site
Thanks for the link Crystal but I don't let anyone maintain my truck but me. I have a brother and a brother-in-law who are Ford techs and I will have my brother do my State inspections and maybe brake work if I don't have the time but that's all, neither one is a Diesel tech and it seems I know more about my truck than they do and that's because of sites like this one and PSA. When I need ball joints or front end work I go to my local 4x4 shop who is very knowledgeable about Fords because that's what they own.
I don't tow a trailer, that said I have 3 trailers I tow from time to time, but certainly don't need a dually to drag a 6 ft, 8ft and 20 ft trailer for various things I do on my place.
My prime reason is to haul my Truck Camper:
Truck/camper sits level
Good looking set-up! I don't tow anything heavy either. Here is my main reason for owning a dually. Plus I think they look cool!
This may be the route we travel, the Wife said she doen't want to give up her bucket seat with all the bells, whistles and comfort
My wife has had 5 back operations. When I had my GMC she couldn't go much more then 2-3 hours without being in pain. Many times ending up in the trailer (good for both of us).
As long as she has something to do (read etc) she can last 400+ miles in the truck, of course with the occasional stop for the dogs & bathroom breaks.
