Paredneck - yeah they were never there as long as ive had him. I want to find some but its on the list of stuff for him that can wait. Still have to get that visor stripped and installed some day. Right now its hauling a$$ to work and back and loving it!
Well been some progress so far. Got a set of nice mint hub caps off a 70's car. guy was going to buy craigers so they came up for sale on a fb group. guy delivered them on the way to get his new rims lol.
not sure if I posted it on here but about couple months ago I went and got this camperette. Used it in the back of my ecodiesel dodge to go to ontario and back to go see a bunch of youtubers. Well I wanted it out of my 6.5' box now that im back home. I was going to put it on an old tent trailer frame but I didnt get to tearing the walls and floor out before my father showed up with his crane truck to lift this up and off the dodge... So I decided why not throw it in the back of Grumpy!
Lots of people around here like it. matches the era of truck. Grumpy can't even tell its in the back. Rides allot better with some weight back there though!
Great read. I love these build / rebuild threads especially the long ones like this. You can see the beginning and end or close to it all in one sitting.
Then there's this picture here:
I love older fords. Id sell that 2012 in a heartbeat and use the proceeds to fix up my 79 f250.
In my opinion anything past 1996 is total ****. oh and some of the early 80's aren't so hot but acceptable. Anything after 1996 though blows donkey nutz.

lol well hate to burst your bubble but the 2012 is long gone. sync messed up and the ecoboost lived up to its rep of buildup killing mileage. stealership wanted 4k to get into it and look around. wouldnt cover it under warranty. So went and got a dodge diesel... really it doesnt feel much different then the 2012 but I do miss the sync lady and the other options thats ford only...
So bit of an update. The truck camper is nice and all but it really makes Grumpy a grampa grocery getter.. So I acquired a 1973 tent trailer and stripped the top of it off. I am going to use 2 axles from another tent trailer and my flat deck trailer to give it some ride and stability. I also picked up this license plate on ebay as I can run year of manufacture on the trailer as well! Thought I had a picture of the trailer but I guess not. It was an old bonair but it was just trashed when I got it. This way I can hook on and go when I want with what ever vehicle I want. Either Grumpy for show or go and the diesel ram for long distances. Then I can also haul some toys in the bed of the trucks
The ministry here charged me $105 for the serial# and $109 for the plate to put my junk trailer on the road, good thing Cooperators paid out $1500 for the truck being written off. The bad part is my insurance went up $240 a year. My insurance thinks laying on the couch after supper makes me responsible in some way for the accident.??????!
well couple updates. Camper is off truck and on the trailer. got some 12" tires for the trailer and that is as far as that got.
Found a good seat for grumpy. It is out of a 76 that had a 390 in it. Guy bought it to tear the engine out... it kinda looked better then grumpy does... oh well. I did find the build sheet under the seat! Also got the mirrors off the truck. Should swap out no problem.
Got the door stuff done! finger cups, new arm rest (found old one under the original seat), new door latch handle on the inside.
Got the old seat out, BOO NO BUILD SHEET!!! Took out old master cylinder, yeah it leaked as soon as the line was took off, put new one in, put new brake light switch in, put in "new" seat. Glad it was out of there! no way I'd have fit in there with a seat in the way!!
