Dwil is getting the quote tomorrow... Dwil's wife had requests to get rid of the Christmas tree before it burned down the house.

DONE!

So it's last Friday, I'm on the couch feeling like crap because of a nasty cold. I have the wife's tablet and I start looking at Trozei's '69 F100 Build thread. Wow, I am really impressed with this guys talent at such a young age. His thread is really cool......then I see it.......post 124......this pic.
*sound of angles singing*

I'm such a n00b, I've never seen one of these F500+ dash clusters and I want one NOW......and it must be black and chrome!
I get off the couch, hobble to the shop to search the interweb for one of these beauties.....I need my big monitors, a 7" tablet just won't do for power shopping.
As I was heading out to the shop I'm thinking that one of these dash clusters is an aftermarket part....maybe? Someone prolly still makes them?
First I go to Dennis Carpenter......no luck, then LMC....nothing, NPD nada. Now I am ready to panic....oh crap, I have to get a used one from ebay. I look on ebay and at the time there was nothing but rusty crap and some that were painted...rats! So I googled instrument panel, dash cluster, blah, blah and found one in Iowa at a scrap yard. Yea!
5 days and 160 bucks (including shipping) later.....
....it was here when I got home from work. w00t!

Now I just need to clean it up and start looking for a tach and a vacuum guage....or a clock.

Thanks Trozie, that really made me feel a lot better. Those 1940 series gauges from New Vintage USA are sweet!

Here's post 124.

*There's the wiper switch in the cluster I referenced recently. Think about using it there and installing a "START" button (switch) there in the spot your wiper switch is now. I think it would be Bad Azz.

That would be way cool. 'Key on' could light up "START" where the "WIPER" is now.

Don't go using my NVU 1940 gauges! I claim dibs. And don't worry, Jeff, I won't be leaving those switch spots blank.

Tomahawk, your message when you replied me the other day had me a little confused there. Now I understand completely.

Sorry about the cryptic message, I was prolly under the influence of Nyquil.
I'm right in the middle of cleaning up the new gauge cluster. I'll post some pics when I get done with it.
I might need one or two of those NVU gauges......please, please, please.

Yo, dwil, when can I pay you?

Hopefully the price tag will turn you away from them. I want them! I'll probably end up having NVU make me a custom set though that replicates the F600 as exactly as possible.
