Post Your Gauge Clusters!

1 Attachment(s)
I see a lot of the dent guys making custom clusters but I've only seen the occasional bump cluster. Let's see what you have!

Here's what I'm doing. I'm going to take my cluster surround and have it chromed, then I'll make a backing plate out of an exotic wood that I have yet to decide upon, and then install these gauges, which have been printed out to exact size. The red ring is only the colour that they'll light up at night time. I chose red because I'll also be installing red neon sex lights underneath the dash.

Gauge sizes are 3 3/8 and 2 1/16, but that's only the face size. The chrome ring is larger.

I like the gauge layout you have on the stock cluster. I plan on doing the same thing with autometer gauges also but on one of these then have it chromed

Can't go wrong with a f-600 cluster. By far the easiest and best looking IMO. Here is the cluster on my 72 that I sold.

And the new dash / cluster for the diesel

^ many many gauges but very well needed with the diesel. That's what my truck has in it so I'll have a good many gauges in mine to. Not looking forward to that purchase though gauges are expensive.

tip for those using wood , put a coat or two of clear on the wood before cutting . it helps keep the wood from splintering (laminate)

I have an F600 cluster like the one on the bottom, just not as rusty. I'm trying to decide whether to paint or have it re-chromed after sandblasting. At this point I'm kind of leaning towards painting it. Not sure if I want it satin black (definitely not gloss) or a dark hunter green. The interior is going to be dark hunter green and dark blue.
Decisions, decisions.

I was really wanting to emulate the F500 gauge cluster but the 2 1/16 Autometer gauges are too big to stack them vertically.

Hey everybody! I am brand new to this site and have always liked FORD trucks! I came across this thread and there are some very beautiful gauge clusters in this thread. I am going to post a picture of mine from my 1979 F-700 dump truck. It is in no way shape of form as detailed as some of the pics that I have seen, but considering that NONE of the factory gauges worked when I bought it then I had to do something! I only paid $900 for the dump truck and drove it home!

I still hope to find one of the F500+ clusters in a yard one of these days. I prefer them over the options, but might have to cut up a cluster until I can find one.

By far the best way to go is the f500/600/700 cluster. Keep watching ebay; I have seen them go as cheap as $45 recently. On the other hand, there are a few on there now but they are pretty nice and are more $. The one below starts at 100

I want to see more on this cluster. What size are the gauges?

I'll answer for him. The small ones are 2 1/16; the center and left ones are 3 3/8. The center one needs to be bigger IMO.
