His engine condition's change like the weather in the Az. desert areas.
Just like those bad *** dust storms a few times a yr. when you least expect them!
We've all thrown at him good answers but seems like to many irons in the pot before another gets added to figure it out. Hopefully he will find the base cause from day one that started his wallet vacuum to stay on full time
That can't out run it for long

The motor got pushed aside while the new one is being prepped for install that way the down time on the truck is minimal. Soon as it's back up I'll pull the other apart.
Well I'm ripping into engine 2. All is well so far. Don't have the heads off yet though. No broken valve springs or retainers. Rockers are all good as well as pushrods.
The demon is yet to be found... On with the search!
Yep. I just touched it again today actually. I got the heads pulled off. Still no obvious signs of what was causing the problem. No pistons have holes in them. No burnt valves. All the valves look normal except #7. They are kinda gunked up and black.
The cylinder walls are still pretty fresh looking. Hardly any vertical lines. All the piston skirts are still like new looking.
I think I might have had a loose headgasket between 1-2. There was a a little blow over going on when I pressurized the cylinders.
I took the cam out, it looked fine, but I haven't measured it yet.
I'm also going to measure the pushrods and make sure a long one didn't sneak in.
I'll take the heads apart and see if I can feel a sticking valve or anything like that.
We want pictures so we get to inspect the head & it's gaskets. Pour a little gas down each valve port in the head & look for any wetness around the valve seats intake & exh.
Also check for any bent push rods by Rolling each push rod on you mothers smoothest best or glass table.
It's Ok if she yells just tell her it's for a good cause..
