Thanks for taking the time to reply to all us curious folks.
So you use the rear portion of the Excursion frame from where you chopped it and then the front part of the truck frame?
You use the Excursion roof and body, the truck front end (hood and fenders).
What about doors? Are all four the truck doors? Are all four the Ex doors? I saw the comment about the Ex doors being different.
The donor Ex had pretty dented up doors.
Thanks for all the updates! This project shows what Ford should have kept in production!
Yes on the frame we weld both frames together and than channel the inside.
We use the Ex rear body and the truck body from the middle of the front seat forward Fire wall and all.
We will use the 12 front doors and the rear doors from the Ex. The rear doors are different between the Ex and CC. Ex doors are curved at the top and a little bit wider then a CC which is straight up and down.

Question on the frame. If you are making an ex with a front end of a 12 super duty why would you need to splice the front part of the frame on? Is it for upgrading the suspension?

It is for the upgrade suspension and the frames are made way different in the front. They swoop down lot farther.
I can't believe how different the doors are, there is practically no way to use the CC doors on the rear and it look right. Your work looks top notch my friend
