Bill is that the last part of your build. I remember putting mine back together last winter. It took a lot of hands. What parts did you put together from each?

I put 460 gas trans guts in a diesel case. The gas trans has the wide ratio gears in it. Really low 1rst and reverse.

I have 4.10s too. I hope this trans isn't too low geared. I'm thinking it should tow heavy real well with the low 1rst gear. I'm looking at getting 12-14k moving from a dead stop on a hill. Shouldn't be any difference in 4th and 5th, so it should still have the same drivability at highway speeds. The first three low gears are gonna make it count where I need it though.....I hope! It's just an experiment, if I don't like it, I'll put the other trans back in

Im definitely going to look into a 460 tranny for my truck. I doubt I will ever need that low of gears but theyd be nice to have otherwise!

Probably Jonathan again. You can't run your truck on the dyno.....he does it.
