Our F550 pump trucks at work do not have the stators installed since there are belt driven PTO pumps etc mounted up front.

dlibson is the guy I have to thank for it. When we swapped my transmission we pulled the stator and it has been sitting on a shelf since then.

so when my scangauge says its charging at "14.0 Volts" it is higher?

new alternator earlier this year.

I notice about .2-.4 volts more at the battery versus OBD port.

I am not an electrician, but I believe even .4 over 14 isn't going to harm anything

Thought I would bump this up and share that I got my pigtail from same eBay ad today.

Now just need to find the best deal on a 3G!

Get the Prestolite Neece-Leville 230amp alt... best deal in amperage output.

If that's not in the price picture, get the 2005 upper alt at 140Amps, use TRT30 for Advance Auto on-line coupon code, do in store pick-up and save $50 with that code.

Neither of these listed need the pigtail. I carry mine as a just in case while on the road and can only get a 3G alternator. Buy from Advance and really not worry.

Well, currently I have the crapp 110 and it's on its way out. I looked at the 140 upper alt but they are a little more money and not as common as the 3G. So, I think I'm going to get the 3g from advance. I already had it in my cart with the promo code and I had $10 speedperks. I love the Trt30 code.
Then, if this one goes out I can get either the large 6g or 3g no matter where I'm at.

Exactly... I use the crap out of that code! Don't let the cart get above $150, that saves you $50 off each time.... just check out a bunch of times and keep hitting the code.
