Installing Molding on '78 F-250

I purchased a bunch of molding for my 1978 Ford f250 custom. Rocker panel molding as well as styleside as well as tailgate molding..... Got is from LMC. It is decent quality, and it comes with all the clips. the problem is I have never installed any molding ever, and the molding they sent does not come with any instructions. if you look on the Dennis Carpenter and LMC catalogs, it shows where the clips go. Unfortunately, it does not give step by step instructions for installing the molding after you have put in the clips. I think I can get through the process of riveting the clips to the truck, but I have no idea how you are then supposed to put the molding on. Do you slide it over the clips from the side? or do you just pop it on over the clips? I looked on Youtube but could not find any videos showing me what to do. do you guys have any suggestions? I with these guys that sell this stuff provided an installation manual......thanks for any help you can give...

Are you going to use pop rivets to hold the plastic clips on?? Or are you going to use a stud welder to weld the trim rivets on like the factory did?? Google stud gun trim rivet if you are not familiar with this tool.

I went with the stud welder when I installed my trim, much cleaner installation as compared to drilling lots of holes & using pop rivets.

As mentioned above, the trim simply pops over the plastic clips. Line it up exactly where it needs to go, & start popping it on at one end. Usually a tap with your palm is all it takes to get it to snap on. Start with an easy piece like the door first, then work your way up to the long pieces on the bed.
