Thanks for all the inspiration guys! I'll try to keep progress coming.

I like your dryer mount - wish I would have seen that before I mounted mine as I like how yours turned out better.
You can always go back and re-do it! I've done that many times haha. I really like the mount. Its also adjustable vertically. I was checking out your thread last week. Your truck is turning out great! I love the stance.
So here's some more progress.
I got the 3rd brake light/bed light hooked up. Again I had to put some insulation on the ends where there were gaps. Its from a 99-03 Superduty (aftermarket, LED). Not the brightest bed light, but I'll have auxiliary bed lights that will be plenty bright!
Got the Pac Brake compressor and air horn installed. The horn is LOUD!!
Grid heater solenoids installed. Tucked away under the brake booster. Kinda the only place it would fit. Its getting cramped under the hood.
Started on wiring the relay boxes. I have a few spares still.
Well I'm not dead, and I still have the truck. I went into the field for a few months, then decided to move 20 miles up the road! So i've been busy. But I finally got the house half way organized and time to start back on the truck!
Just for proof, here's a pic of the truck in her new home. Updates to come!
Well after alot of thinking and consideration, I don't think I'm going to sell the truck. Financially it just doesn't make sense. No one is going to buy it (for the $$ I want to get out of it) in the state that it's in. And if I get it to the point where its running I probably won't sell it.
So I'll just keep picking away at it when I have time, trying to take the critical path to get it on the road.
In the meantime I bought this beauty. 1990 F-250. 460 5 speed. Couldn't go any longer without a truck (a running one that is).
Finished the hood latch. I customized the original latch to open via cable from the cab (also so you can't open it from the grill). FYI you can buy the latch assembly with the cable latch, but i wanted Free.)
And I built a brake press (thats how I built the hood latch mount):
I'll throw updates up when I can. Trying to pick away at the wiring so not much worth mentioning.
How exactly did you modify the existing latch? I'm curious because I've considered installing a locking hood/latch mechanism that was intended for our trucks... but I've heard horror stories of the cable breaking.

Then you can't get into your own hood!!!!
The lever for the hood release actuates 2 separate releases. The first is the primary hood latch, which most cars have as their "Hood Release". The 2nd is the secondary hood latch, which most cars have as the lever in the grill to open the hood.
All I did was cut the tab which actuates the primary hood release. If you compare the picture below to your hood latch it'll be obvious what is missing. Sorry I didn't snap a before picture.
Then I attached the cable to the lever arm with the spring on it, to the right of the lever that I cut (in the picture).
It works ok. I might add a stronger return spring to help pull the cable back into position. Its not perfect, but I only have $10 into it for the cable, so can't beat that price!
