Looks great. Very jealous.
It was tight! But I figured if we could get it in the garage, I'd be able to get it out.

Thanks for getting it running. I really didn't want to push it back into the garage again. That was hard enough once!
Congrats!

Ha! Yeah that was a pain pushing it up hill! Maybe you'll see it driving around town sometime. Still lots of little things to wrap up though...

Right on man. I just spent about an hour and a half reading and skimming this thread from the top (2012) haha. This is a sweet truck though. Definitely my dream build.

Soooo...Did I mention that I overheated the power steering pump when breaking in the cam? Yup, didn't bleed it. Figured it would be alright since I wasn't using the brakes or steering. Well it got hot enough to melt the plastic on the dipstick.

So I got a new pump, and while I was in there I replaced the seals in the vacuum pump, which tend to leak.

I also made a bracket for the power steering pump. The vacuum pump and power steering pump are bolted together, and only attached at the timing cover (aluminum). On the 94+ engines there's a bracket that ties the PS pump to the block, but not on the 93- engines. So, I made one hell of a beefy bracket from 3/16". 3 bends, weird shape, it was a fun bracket to build! Got the bends right on the first try though. I'll post some installed pictures later.

More updates to come. Trying real hard to finish up this wiring!

Your dash looks to be the same color as the paint I bought for mine, medium charcoal gray metallic. If it comes out looking that good, I will be pretty happy.

If its Rustoleum, then thats exactly the stuff that I used. I love the color, I actually might paint the truck that color!

Summit Racing, epoxy primer and low VOC single stage base with all the additives cost around $225. Not to bad.

To paint the whole truck? Or just the dash?

The whole truck. I might be a little short but That's not a big deal. I've read and have been told that one gallon of primer and one gallon of base will get the job done. We'll see.

Yeah thats still pretty cheap! Honestly I'd be happy with anything under $1000 when its all said and done.

So Photobucket has screwed us. They're making me pay to be able to view pictures outside their site. That means ALL of the pictures have gone blank in this thread.

Because of all the support and positive feedback from the people on this thread, I'm going to take some time and replace photos where I can. I feel like I owe to all of you, and anyone that might use this thread for reference or motivation to try to save it.
