Great looking build so far, the nice thing about me not having the money to pick up a Cummins is that I get to see all you guys troubleshoot and then steal the better ideas. haha
You didn't mention it (that I saw) but it looks like you're running a pair of small Breathers on your custom Tappet Cover, is crankcase pressure a concern? I'm used to a similar modification on HD Sportsters.
Speaking of bikes, you must have one for every day of the week by now. haha
I miss the big paychecks but I don't miss living out of a bag, travel can really suck.
Thanks! The stock tappet cover has a breather, so I'm putting them in as a like kind replacement. Why 2? IDK, because it looks cool? haha.
I actually picked up another bike. 96' KTM 550 2 stroke. This thing is a widowmaker. Going to make another build thread for that....on another forum...for another day
Believe it or not, I have been working on this thing. Lots of tedious work, and trying to help the GF fix up her house to rent, so I've been busy.
Got some work done on the dash. got the vents fitted, and started on the gauge cluster.
I think the gauge cluster is going to turn out nice. Lots of work yet to do. With patience you can achieve great things.
Got a whole bunch of stuff from Siloconeintakes.com. Great site, they have everything for your intercooler/radiator, and good quality stuff too!
Dropping the fuel manifold and dash off this week to get some machining done (holes punched in the dash). Working on the intercooler support and getting the front clip permanently installed.
I am glad to see you got better boots while working on the dash.
Ha! I didn't even notice that. I have 2 pairs of boots. I try to wear my crappy pair while doing metal work, etc, because they get destroyed pretty fast.
Nice build Meatloaf, I happen to be in your home town of Denver this week working at the New VA hospital in Aurora. I was shocked to see snow on the ground from a May 10th storm - you've got to be kidding me!
Thanks for your effort documenting your build, that takes time away from production, but the rest of us can live it through you.
Be sure to give us a link to the KTM thread when you get around to it.
Will do!

Yea the snow was crazy. Woke up in the morning and there was snow covering everything. Hopefully that last snow of the year. Let summer begin!
@ oddfordjunkie: Here's the link to the KTM 550 build. You have to be a member to view the thread. Sorry about that, working on copying the build to a forum where anyone can view it:
Finally got my radiator a few weeks ago. RnD Fabrication. Very nice piece. They had a bit of a backlog, but well worth the wait! Very good customer service too.
I had it strapped in for moch up. I'm not sure I'll be able to run my Mark VIII fan because of clearance, but we'll see once the front body panels are lined up.
Made a couple tabs to hold the AC Condenser in place. They will bolt in with the radiator. Still need to make tabs on the passenger side.
Lower mounts for the intercooler done. I'll get some better pics when I install them.
I tore the front end apart to paint the inner fenders, girll, and the rest of the firewall. Just need some free time to throw it all back together. Next couple weeks are looking pretty busy.
"Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use."
The amount of metal work you're doing is really awesome! I'm pretty new to a lot of this stuff, so its impressive to see your skill level. I look forward to seeing the finished product.
I'm down in Morrison, so if you ever need some beer labor, let me know!

I've learned alot doing this project. I would have never touched anything sheet-metal, but I just decided to try it. A little patience, some research, and ambition you'll be surprised what you can do!
Let me know if you're in the area! I'm up in Longmont.
Little update here. Got the front clip mocked into place. I needed the inner fenders/grill assembly to be pretty close to its final location so I can start doing intercooler piping, radiator hoses, etc (theres about 1" of adjustment in the body panels).
Got up at 5:00 AM this morning to get the upper radiator hose done. Its getting hot in the evenings here (west facing garage), and the mosquitos are starting to get bad from all this rain we've been getting, so I'm going to start working on the truck in the mornings.
The clamps aren't on there, but its 3 individual pieces. 2 30 degree bends and 1 90 degree.
Hoping to get the lower radiator hose done tonight. Then on to the intercooler piping!
Still not in a hurry to get this thing done. I mean who needs a truck when you have a Toyota Corolla?
Well I've finally been making some progress on the truck. Don't judge me, I've been busy! GF's house is almost done, so that should free up some truck time
Started on the Dynamat on the inside of the firewall. I'm putting this stuff everywhere I can. The picture below is just the Dynamat Xtreme. Supposed to be a sound deadener only. The Dynaliner (2nd pic) is made of a foam type material and is designed for more sound deadening, but also heat insulation. Should be about 1000 times better than stock. I've heard nothing but good things about how amazing this stuff is.
Lower radiator hose done. Snaked that thing in there pretty nicely.
Here's the intercooler mounted, with a better pic of the mounts too.
Drivers side intercooler piping done! Passenger side is next.
She's coming together. HVAC is coming up on the list. Trying to get everything I need to get done for wiring.
