So Photobucket has screwed us. They're making me pay to be able to view pictures outside their site. That means ALL of the pictures have gone blank in this thread.
Because of all the support and positive feedback from the people on this thread, I'm going to take some time and replace photos where I can. I feel like I owe to all of you, and anyone that might use this thread for reference or motivation to try to save it.
How exactly are you achieving this?
I just got screwed today like you did. Wondering how I'm going to get out of my debacle
Yeah thats still pretty cheap! Honestly I'd be happy with anything under $1000 when its all said and done.
Not to mention the price of the air compressor I had to buy ($450) and the piping, regulator, and dryer ($125). But I will be using that compressor, hopefully, for at least the next ten years.

No getting around it in my book. 8 years of work (or lack thereof!), 4 different builds on multiple different sites. I'm over it. My build thread here is toast.+/-130 pages = I'm not even close to going back to fixing it.
They (photoSUCKit) sent me an email asking me to upgrade to have the ability to post photos on a 3rd party site (here & other forums. At the tune of $400 / yr. Yup... Sorry but EFF that!
Just a bummer now as I so enjoyed watching everybody's progress and this seems to be happening to most guys.
I may start an instagram account & continue my build there, but I'm not gonna be able to salvage my thread here or a couple other spots.

Did the same crap to mine. Don't know if I want to pay up just on the principle of the thing.

What $400.00 hell no. I have my thread saved to a pdf. Screw photobucket then. I may use my instagram too.
Short update. Got a few miles on her now. Everything seems to be working great except the cruise control, which I've been running diagnostics on. I've got a whole new list of little things to tidy up. She runs good and has a TON of power (Haven't even gone past 2500 RPM), but needs some tuning for sure.
Just read all 60 pages in one sitting - great work and very inspiring, guys!
You seem to have more skill in your little fingers than I do in my whole body, mind..
Thanks Ben! I honestly think that my "skill" is not so much because of years of experience and practice, but more patience and willingness to try and learn new things. Anybody can do this stuff with a little practice. Also, what I don't post on here is the huge scrap pile in the back yard of stuff that I screwed up
BTW sorry about all of the broken pictures. I'm working on getting them updated. But in the meantime check out my photobucket account for all the pictures in this thread.
