Well, fuse blew again. Called Service Tech...he basically said he needed to look at it to see what is going on. I'm not certain myself...which is exactly why I asked him to wire it up (he charged me for it and I happily paid for it). He didn't run the compressor more than once to make certain it worked. I can't say I blame him as I'd likely do the same thing. However, now I'm stuck with fixing it. I don't have time to keep running up there. I moved the compressor to Upfitter #4 and so far so good. I shut the truck down several times, cycled the compressor to the point that it needs to cool down. I'll report back in a couple of hours, but it appears that wiring it to #4 is the way to go. Not saying that he should have foreseen this, but I know I should not have had to rewire this compressor. It's just one of those things that a lot of people would bitch about. I just want it fixed and move the heck on with my life.

I'm sure you're frustrated to a degree.

Not sure if you've got these or not but they may help:

I wonder what he did because the #1 and #2 upfitters are 25 amp where #3 is 10 amp and #4 is 15 amp. Strange that it blew on #1 but is working on #4.

As long as it works though.

I just checked it again and it is really strange...

#4 is still working fine. I will likely go grab another fuse from the Ford garage (they only sell 20 and 30amp fuses in town) and see if that one blows with nothing hooked up.

Getting another fuse and trying it sounds like a good idea. You might want to carry a couple of spares with you on your trip just in case.

Hopefully this will be the last hiccup for the rest of the time you own your truck.

I hope you enjoy your vacation.
