Update: I called the dealership this afternoon. The service manager was away from the dealership so they let me talk to the tech working on my truck. He said he spent all day trying to figure out what was caused my PCM to fail. He THINKS he found the problem. The alternator is putting out some irregular power and spikes that he believes fried my original PCM. He believes that he will put a new alternator in the truck and it will be fixed. They are trying to get an alternator for tomorrow. I'm out of town Wed-Thursday, so the race is on.
I have to be honest...I'm going to be really disappointed if I don't get my truck back tomorrow. I'm taking the Cub Scouts to Webelos camp and you should have to drive an Acadia to camp. I know it's petty, but I want my truck back. This is getting old.

I so know that feeling - yes you want them to have the time to do the job correctly ... on the other hand, it *always* makes me uncomfortable to leave my vehicles at the dealer for more than a day.

Hate to see that you still arn't on the road.
on different note....have you had any trouble with the Brakes, steering, or suspension on the acadia? I work for the company that makes all three for the acadia and traverse

I am with you guys...I hate to even leave it for the day.
When I dropped it off last week for the brake issue I called the wife to come pick me up when they said it was ready...and it was only lunch time

no, but the Nav system has been more trouble than it's worth. It has been in the shop 5 times for electrical issues that have all been traced back to the stupid Nav unit. It's been replaced twice and reprogrammed three times. It's a dang shame that a Nav unit can make you uncertain if you vehicle is going to start or not. It has a funny thing about not wanting to power off (under any circumstances (other than disconnecting the battery). The mileage has been a bit disappointing as well. The ride comfort and visual appeal has been pretty good though.

Savage. If they don't get your truck fixed in time, just a thought ,I'd ask if they had a used truck on lot they would let ya use. Hope they get ya Rollin soon.

I had asked that on Monday of last week and was told that they only have one 6.7 on the lot and it wasn't getting loaned out. This dealership is really small, but so far I have been very happy with their communication with me.

I would have never thought an alternator would/could fry a PCM. I might have learned something new today....

Hate to see they haven't gotten it fixed yet. If we lived closer, I'd gladly loan you mine to get what you need done.
