That's the way I'm planning to go. 210 thru lillington, take 27 to 27/24, jump on 501 into town. Youll pass Ronnie's Chuck wagon if you take the round a bout. But you can bypass that if you want. Just over an hour from me.
The place was packed. Food was decent. Lots of planes landing and taking off. Thanks for showing up John and representing the truck group. I know it's a busy time and short notice. Had about ten bikes show up as well.
We also happened to be there during a charity ride so there were about 40-50 bikes total in the parking lot.
Was a long ride to get there but it was beautiful out, not a lot of traffic, and all back roads - scenic. Food was good, I didn't feel overly full, and yet at supper time I still wasn't hungry, in fact I didn't eat again until 10:30pm when I had a little grilled cheese sandwich. The pulled pork & brisket held me over for almost 11 hours! Can't beat that
Nice pic's, John.
Look's like a great place. Definitely not your average location for a BBQ joint.
I took those pics before we ate. Afterwards there at least 8 or 10 planes that had landed and parked to go grab lunch. Pretty neat setup they have there! Fly in, park anywhere you want as long it's on the grass, grab some BBQ, and then be on your way again!
Does look like a cool place sorry I could not make it.
I know I said weekends are good (most of the time) for me but this cold snap has us working LP gas almost non-stop.
Been getting to work by 2am and not home till 3pm if lucky, even this Saturday.

I've been there a handful of times. Pretty cool place to eat lunch. The trick is to find a time when it's not completely packed. I mean even this past weekend it was freezing and both the inside and outside eating areas were full.
