Thanks!

Remove me, the counterweight and only 1/2 tank of fuel its 4200. Pretty heavy but the bare frame is 520 lbs. Stock '66 frame if I remember correct was around 345 lbs. Very heavy tire/wheel package. Class V hitch.
My 2nd eco truck (Eco2) I am expecting curb weight under 4000 lbs.
Eco2 will pretty much be opposite of Eco1. Pretty much a engine/trans/transfer case swap only. Along with a gauge cluster that will keep an eye on things without being too modern.
Because of the $$ situation but yet the need for tire grip I have chosen to use 2017 F250 Super Duty wheels. Goal for it would be a 11 second 1/4 mile. No doubt it will be deep in the 12's but might be pushing the dream for a 11 second run.
From what I can tell, your 1/4 mile time in the '66 is better than the truck that the engine came from. Very nice.
Quite a bit faster yeah. Except most Eco trucks are 4x4 or on a sticky tire and a bunch quicker off the line. Mine is tune only with very very poor tire. Mid 12 second truck with good traction and a boosted launch. Guestimated 12.60's with traction and boosted launch without changing the power output.
Right now the truck makes 405/532 at the tire. 532 lb ft by 3000 rpm!
Another version with the wide 5 wheels. Sitting on scales of course! LOL
Pretty much a tribute truck to the one my dad bought new October 10th, 1965.
Note the exact mirror I am using. Same hubcaps too with a larger copy of the wheels.
Another of dad's truck when it was just a couple weeks old. This truck is pretty much what did it for me in my love for the 65-66 trucks. I can remember it like it was yesterday when he pulled into the driveway with it.
2017 F250 Wheels I am using on Eco2. The other is a 2016 Dodge wheel but backspacing was off and wanted FoMoCo instead. I kinda liked that dodge wheel and had it figured out which fomoco center would fit but the price was much better on the '17 F250 wheels. A lot more BLING than I wanted but the price was soooo right. I do have stock steel wheels I can use at times and a set of 16" chrome. Needed a minimum of a 8" wheel to allow for the proper size tire (traction). No clue how the suspension will react but gotta start somewhere.
Boss9F100 the name came from planning on using a Boss9 in my 1966 Short bed. I was on "list" for one of the first sets of Kaase heads but they kept getting delayed so I went to the 2nd choice a 427 SIde Oiler based engine.
Happy to report that Kaase Based B9 engine is in the works but with a added twist, Twin Turbo's & EFI. . Stay tuned.
Eco2 making very slow progress as only able to get in a few hours per week but still hoping to have it on road this year.
Chassis is now 100% complete and restored back to stock '66 with exception of the home built 30 gallon stainless tank and a brake upgrade. Of course along with the '15 Eco 6R80 combo.
Goal was zero cutting or mods to the '66 sheet metal or frame. The original Ranger front inner sheet metal was so perfect I hung it on the wall and used inner fenders left over from Eco1 along with a core support from a '63 truck I have floating around.
Since I wanted functional RamAir/Cold Air I had to mod the core support and Airaid AirBox to fit.
Very tight engine bay and only one way the BJB would fit so made a mod to fit the wiriing.
I had to mod the front of inner apron to clear rad and make room for the '15 A/C lines along with '15 battery box and AGM battery.
Custom pocket to mount the '15 version Airaid airbox.
Mod to top of core support for air intake so I could still close the hood
Although the engine bay looks jamb packed any type maintenance will be a breeze and better access to about anything even over the 3.5 in a stock truck. About 1 minute to remove entire AirBox. Spark plug changes should be around 10-15 minutes every 50k miles or so.
The '15 engines have much better packaging than the '11-'14 versions.
Using the '15 radiator, condenser and cooling fan assy I had to move it forward as much as possible to make it look more "factory". And also for access to the trans cooler hoses etc and the A/C lines.
To clean it up a bit did this.
Had to have a large enough hole to be able to remove hoses if the need arose.
A bit off topic but a bit ago there was a thread about a truck with a 5 color code and I seem to remember your 427 truck had that. Just wanted to know if the color was signal flare red. Your ecoboost trucks are coming along great by the way.

I still own the truck its 5M. When I was doing teardown places like under the Twin I Beam fender emblems after a little hand polish and having both Signal Flare Red & the Poppy/Calypso Coral mixed up the Calypso Coral was a perfect match. The Signal Flare was too Red. I have another truck that is J code red like the one my dad bought new.
Not listed color the paint 5 but door tag does not reflect special order paint.
My F250 Ranger has a blank for color. Its Tahoe Turquoise.
My 427 Truck 5M was ordered by the west coast distributor for Shelby's.
Sam Posie Ford here in AZ. His son had info they ordered 9 trucks in this color combo from Texas Plant in various configurations. My truck went to a local place that had a dairy farm. But was more for running errands the reason it never had a ding or dent.
More of a true color in sun vs poor shop lighting. Purely more orange than red.
current status: Check out the cab and front clip color vs the color left on box. Perfect match! Best pic of have in same lighting for comparison. Natural lighting from the large skylights no lights on in shop. Painted stripe on shop wall matches . .
Some day I really hope to finish it. My working days are numbered . .
