if you have the 295/70R18s and the 3.73 rear end, what kind of mpg are you getting empty without towing? and is your lie-o-meter correct on the dash?
I get around 10 if I'm doing all city and short trips between 1-5 miles. Mixed I get around 13 to 13.5. I haven't ran it all highway yet, but I would guess around 15. I'm easy on the throttle and I generally don't go over 65 on the highway, I think that makes a huge difference.
I just got 7.9mpg towing 10,000 lbs. This was the first tank I was able to calculate towing the camper....not too terrible.... I got 10.5mpg towing the same camper with my 6.0, so a 2.5mpg loss from making the move from Diesel to gas isn't too big of a deal.... well worth it for the reliability and lower cost of ownership.
Great comparison, some act/believe the diesel gets 22 empty and 18 towing anything. The truth is, in a comparable truck, the diesel usually gets 2-4 mpg better empty or towing. My boss whom also lives very close to me, gets 3.5 mpg better than I do back and forth to work with a 6.7. His driving style also puts him on the high side of mpg's.
My last tank of gas in my 6.2 has been in town driving and I am sitting at 12.3 mpg right now with a little over a quarter tank left to go. I have about 3300 miles on it right now.
Just ran a few tests, I have pretty much stock tires and ran 6th gear locked out for 200 miles, about 70/30 hwy/city and got 12.2 and then ran almost the same running 6th gear this time and got 13.1, 13 is better than what I was originally seeing and the lie-o-meter on the dash told me 10.9 and hands calc said 13.1..lol
I have a Co-worker with the 2014 6.7 and he drives about 30 miles one way to work, I'm about 17miles one way, but he is getting 19mpg hand calc in his truck and 23 when rolling down i5 from oregon to cali.. Kinda wish I had the excess 5k to get the 6.7 instead.. But this truck should be a solid trick for quite some time. Alot less to it mechanically and wife can fill it up anywhere.. Coming from a 08 mustang and a 94 f250 standard cab..i can't over the awesome leg room and how wide these trucks are.. 3 adults across the front bench just fine.
I have 2016 F250 super cab short bed with the factory tires. I drive 33 miles each way and I have had it about a year now. I normally get around 13 mpg give or take .5 mpg. On Tuesday, I needed gas so I stopped at one of the two stations I go to (Mr Fuel) and the pay at the pump was not working. I was too lazy to go in so I left and went across the street to a Pilot station. I drove the 3 miles left to work and the 33 miles back home with a little higher traffic than normal. I made my normal trip on Wednesday and on my way home I looked and I was getting 14.8 mpg. I thought that is nice, but I am early in the tank, so I didn't worry about it. On Thursday (today) I hit some bad traffic and was at a stand still for awhile. I thought, there goes my 14.8 mpg. But when I pulled into work I was still at 14.4. I think I am going to try to go to this Pilot for a bit and see if this continues. I can't believe a different station could change mpg by a full mile per gallon.

Not all gas is created equal. I normally only put top teir gas in my vehicles. Home | Top Tier Gas
Most smaller stations are buying the gas that the big companies consider to be sub standard and also do not get the detergents to keep a motor clean.
I have a 2015 F250, 4x4, crew cab, long bed, 3.73 gears.. all stock.
I have been tracking the MPG's since March on a spread sheet.
I live around 10 miles from town so almost all my casual driving is 50-60 MPH, with some city driving when I get to town. Once a month I take the RV (travel trailer 8.5K Lbs) on a long weekend trip (60-65 on the highway).
Right at 1K miles per month, probably 200 of that is pulling the RV.
Overall Avg is 11.3, Max 16.5, Min 6.9
Not pulling the trailer avg is around 12.8, with the trailer avg is 9.
From all the other posts I had hoped for a little better, but it is what it is. Pulling the trailer the MPG's do drop, esp into a headwind in the hill country or down to the coast, but it pulls the trailer with no problems, love the truck!

Have you tried using fully.com to track gas mileage? I used to. Cool website.
I have used Fuelly since day one of owning my new truck. Here is a snapshot of the most recent fill-ups. The lower MPGs are when I tow my 8k lb camper.
This is my normal MPG, most driving has been around town between 2 locations 12 miles apart. A few miles through town 35 MPH, about 9 miles on country road, 50 MPH. No significant load in the truck<br/>
After 5,000 miles I have averaged just under 9 mpg overall. I have a 2015 F250 4x4 super cab with a utility bed and 3.73's. The truck has only seen the freeway for extended time on the drive home from the lot. I live in pretty steep terrain and the two job sites I've been commuting two are uphill, steep uphill, from me. Because of this reason I looked into getting a diesel but the low mileage I put on my work truck, 5,000-6,000 a year, didn't seem like it would work out in my favor. From posts on here it sounds like the 4.30's would help my mileage? The mpg's are tough but I do love the truck!! Maybe I'll hit the freeway a bit to bring my average up.
I've had my truck all over the country and the mpg I get on fuel can be all over the he place, I get my best milage in the Midwest, the worst is in Florida and the west coast with California and Alaska being the worst of the worst.
